Both myself and Toby have, and are, having good results with the Tripollar equipment. Neither of us work for the manufacturer.
Good luck.

I think I am a Pose flunky! I did a small number of treatments last summer and stopped because I wanted to experiment with the No Lip Technique alone and see the results. In the war against cellulite it is always on in the summer with me and my strategies to get rid of it, but come cold weather and warm covering up clothes and I forget it...out of sight out of mind mentality. Well summer is coming again and I am gearing up to give the Pose a review. |

Hello, I just got through reading the entire thread on using the Pose. I happen to find this forum when doing a search for RF home treatment devices, and hadn't heard anything about either the Stop or Pose until today. It seems like the reviews aren't that great but I'm still tempted to get one but live in the US. Are there anymore update on results? I wonder how behernow is doing with her experiment |

Hello everyone, I'm new here at this forum. But it is not the first time I was here... Let me tell you that I am very pleased with this forum. I feel I can rely on the people that comes here, and takes effort/time to write their concerns and/or good results. Congrats to you all.
I have read on a skimming way all the posts, since DAY 1, and today I've registered to give my opinion.
I hope that EVERYONE could experience the best results on that gadget (allow me to call it like that) but I think that, each body works differently.
I'm not a doctor, physician, just a regular guy that would like to lose his stubborn fat from his stomach and his legs and on his back on the waist. As you can see, even boys worry about their aesthetic.
I'm hopeful that I can get my tripollar POSE to work it for me. I've read people that it doesn't work at all, others (specialists) that plan to buy it and say it really does nice things, and even people that worked perfectly.
So where we stand? Looking for the dates, remounts to 2008 and we are on 2010. Curiously, I live in Portugal, and only heard about this gadget about 1month ago! I've been doing before this, lipo-cavitation (just started and on 2nd session) but since I've known about Tripollar, I was wondering if it would be better since we can do it at home. Happilly I can get it on the Internet and they deliver it in my place. And what about in USA? Is it already approved?
Of course if anyone is interested to buy it, I could give you the internet address, but it is unlikely they will send it to you. But if you really want, send me a PM, and we can surround that issue and I can send it to you guys.
Ok, but the main thing I want to know, is if those people that wrote several months ago on the forum, still get good results, and the ones that weren't working at all had better results now.
My biggest concern is not really the (low) price of this gadget, but if I'm waisting time on this thing that is very ambiguous on results.
I hope to hear you soon.
Greetings from Europe, PORTUGAL! |

Please excuse if it has already been posted but I saw a recent 2010 Pubmed article about a Tripollar at home device for the body. I'm assuming it might be the Pose, does anyone know this for sure? Results were encouraging that it works in skin tightening and body contouring. |

Thanks for mentioning that article; I read it, and also there is a book on Amazon which mentions different techniques used for cellulite and one was Tripollar so I decided to take the risk and order the Pose from currentbody.com especially since they have a return policy. I have a Wellbox~ have to admit to not using it that much mainly because of all the cleaning required, but plan on using both at least that's what I'm telling myself plus I just joined the YMCA. |

Whoooo.... I managed to pick up a second-hand Pose on eBay for £60.00!!
I wasn't going to bother with Pose, given the mostly neutral/negative feedback, but I figured at that price, I can afford to give it a try. If it doesn't work, I'm pretty sure I'll get my £60 back by re-selling on eBay.
So... when I get it I'll be trying it on on me and on hubby's love handles, and I'll report back.
How is everyone else getting on?

I just got mine today. Wasn't sure what to expect...it was hotter than I was expecting...I found it quite scary to use initially.
I was confused by the lack of green light and that the orange light looked red...I thought it was telling me to stop. |

Please keep us posted everyone on your Pose results. I plan to use mine twice a week for the full 12 weeks like the study in the (European Journal of Dermatology) did. I've been using it for 4 weeks now. I will post any results or lack of them. It does get hot but I got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. You just have to keep it moving! I like the combined heat and massage you get from it. I just wish they'd come up with something different than the sticky gel you have to use, yuck! |

That very stick and expensive gel was also a surprise yes. I do wonder if there is a cheaper alternative. Anyone know where the cheapest place to get it in the UK is? |

I received my POSE today!
The package (from eBay) contains a DVD, but no instruction book (the seller did not promise one) - is there anyone from UK who wouldn't mind sending me theirs so I can photocopy or scan it and send it back?
Thanks

The Pose manual is only a few pages. If you don't find anyone to loan it to you I could scan them and send it to you email. |

ladyjean, thanks for your kind offer. I watched the DVD this morning, and it all seems straightforward, so I don't think I need the manual after all.
What might be useful is the guide for time per area, and I think I saw that on the internet somewhere, so I'll see if I can find it and print it off.
Thanks again - much appreciated!

The manual says a complete treatment takes between 10 to 20 minutes per treatment area depending on the size of the area and the individual being treated. |

I have used the Pose on my upper arms 12 times now where I have some crepey, loose skin. I don't see anything significant yet. I'm still hopeful as it takes a while for collagen to regenerate and I probably wouldn't see any improvement for several more months. Same goes for the Stop, nothing great to report but nothing bad either. I'm on the 9th treatment of my face.
I don't have a lot of fat in my arms so I worried that the Pose could make the skin sag more by melting the fat. I asked the woman who answers questions at Tripollar about it and this is what she wrote back:
"The Pose can be used for the arms although the problem is sagging skin and not fat deposits. The heating will stimulate collagen regeneration and skin tightening. As the fat layer in this area is thin, the thermal effect on the fat is going to be minimal and therefore will not reduce the fat."
I also use the Pose on my abdomen and what I have noticed there is a flatter looking stomach where I had a lot of belly fat. I've treated that area 9 times. I'm hoping by Christmas I can decide if these devices have been worth the cost and effort. They work so well for some people and not at all for others, I wonder what makes the difference? |

So I've been following this blog for awhile and am itching to buy my own but they are so ridiculously expensive (from a student's point of view anyway..)
Just thought I'd try my luck and see if any one has one that they are done with or don't use anymore that I could buy?
Even on EBay the cheapest I can find is nearly $500 (Yikes!).
Thanks for all your help! |

I've been following the reviews about pose and I'm really interested in buying one but I'd rather buy from someone in second hand because I have wasted way too much money on treatments
I'm very skinny after loosing about 6 stone, I've done a bunch of treatments but I still have a little creppey skin
My interested on this device is because I was offered a few of RF treatments and just one did a lot more than the 16 velasmooth treaments I was on
so if anyone here wants to get rid of their Pose let me know |

Hi Filipa, Can I ask what the name or type of RF treatment you received that did so much for you? Thanks |

It's me again. Just got my tripollar from another member on here and it looks great I just have a couple questions that hopefully someone can help me with?
1.I plugged the device in to charge and then unplugged to use it but it seems to only work while plugged in. Does it not have a battery?
2.I took the suggestion of a former poster and used olive oil but the orange light never came on and the skin didn't seem to heat up that much. The prongs were definitely hot though! I accidentally stopped moving the device for a moment and Hello Burn!
After a few minutes of circling the same area, the pose began to feel like it was zapping me. What's up?
3. Has anyone found a cheap-ish place to buy the gel yet?
Thanks! I'll post my results if any. I took before pictures |

Hi smileybabe, neither the Pose or Stop are rechargeable so have to be used plugged in, and oil is definitely not recommended to use with them. the heat from the RF will heat up the oil and cause burns I imagine; plus make sure you remove all metal jewelry. I've been using glycerin with it since that's one of the main ingredients in the gel, but they strongly suggest using only their products which are sometimes sold on eBay and the currentbody web site which has a good Q&A about them

Hi everyone
Well, in the end, I got a bad cold where I was in bed for 2 weeks, and feeling really bad for a full month, so I didn't bother with any of my gadgets... and man, my skin is looking good! I think a rest now and then from constant poking and prodding at one's skin allows the skin to actually process and benefit from the treatments.
I did not use POSE enough to see fat loss benefits, but I did use it on my collarbone (my STOP was too fiddly in that area, I couldn't get it to heat up enough). I have to say, I can see a visible, fantastic difference there - I was waking up to really deep wrinkling around my collarbones. The wrinkling it still there, but it has visibly smoothed and lessened. I am very happy, and I'm going to start that up again now that I'm over my cold. |

I agree and think that it's good to take a break from using items; and it also tricks your face/body. Just like if you do the same work-out, the body get used to it. But there are days when all I do is cleanse and moisturized. Glad you're feeling better |

I just found this thread now and I am intrigued. Given the spotty success rate, are there any members that would be interested in selling their Pose if it didn't work for them? The price tag is a bit too much for me to justify if it didn't work for me at all. I have some massive cellulite that is completely exerise and weight resistant. WOndering if you think it would work for that? |
