I learned by this forum, that I should never mix retinol-A and AHA, at the same time, and not Vitamin C either.
I bought this product a year ago, but I haven't used it regulary. I started two weeks ago - as a nighttime treatment, and on the bottle it doesn't say it contains retinol , AHA, and Vita C.
I thought that was a retinol serum.. My mistake, I look at the description of the product yesterday online.
I didn't have the knowledge of not to mix these ingredients before as I sad. I started to make a inventory of my products.
But, it sounds good, the description. But this make me even more confused. If its common knowledge, why these kinds of product in that case..
"The appearance of age spots, uneven skin tone and discolorations are some of the telltale signs that signal skin aging. Years of daily exposure to a hostile environment eventually cause these skin imperfections to surface. Now you have a powerful solution for what lies beneath the surface...New Vit-A-Plus Illuminating Serum. This exclusive, advanced formula visibly balances uneven skin tone and revitalizes skin to a renewed luminosity. The multi-action, anti-aging benefits of AHA, Retinol-pure Vitamin A, Vitamin C and natural plant extracts provide fast results and help supplement the skin's own defenses." |

I went through a few bottles of this some years back, when it first came out I think. As I recall, it did give a slight "brightening" effect which I liked but... boy, is this stuff sticky! So sticky, that I actually emailed MD Formulations to check I was using it right, that it was meant for all over the face and not just for "spot treatment". I got a very pleasant helpful reply (more than I can say for some companies), that indeed confirmed it was for use over entire face. Maybe they've changed the formula since, but back when I used it, it was definitely something I would only use at night, due to the sticky factor.
That's a good question re the combination of ingredients. Sorry, can't help with that, will leave for someone more knowledgeable |

So is it effective to even out your skin and get rid of the brown spot? |

I purchased this item about 6 months ago and I don't think I will purchase it again.
I haven't noticed any improvement on newly formed freckles or spots from pimple scars.
The product is really sticky and almost 'waxy' and leaves the skin looking yellow. I don't like to use it at night because it feels as though it just sits on my skin without sinking in, and half of it ends up on my pillow throughout the course of the night (and stains pillow cases!).
Can anyone recommend something else? |

I didnt much like this product, though to be fair it was a few years ago so the formulation would most likely have changed now. I just think there are better products out there for less or of a comparable price range. |

Yes, but not much hope. Because the pharmaceutical use of excessive, but there will be new problems. |
