Hi Kay
It's the first one (clear handle).
If you ever try the "Dr. Roller" clone, let me know what you think of it.
The fact that it looks like Dr. Roller doesn't mean that it's the same one..
And how can you be sure that it's made in the "same factory" as the original Dr Roller?
For example, Owndoc's clear-handle "MTS" roller has "Clinical Resolution USA" trademarks all over its box, and IT turned out to be a fake, so why would you NOT be suspicious about their other products?

Jezebel have the stretch marks on your bum improved as much as the ones on your breasts?
As far as I understand you rolled and single needled your breasts and rolled your bum.
http://mystretchmarktreatment.blogspot.com/
I got much better results from the combination of dermarolling and single needling than from dermarolling alone. |

My stretch marks improved exactly the same way after several single needling as the ones on your breasts. Mine blended in with the surrounding skin and they are less indented. They were pretty much indented. They still are, only less. The biggest improvement is in their color. |

Has anyone here achieved total resolution of their stretch marks?
My stretch marks improved very much but not a single one completely disappeared. |

@homeroller:
We do not sell "fake" rollers. You are talking about a largely previous model, and that model used generic plastic and cardboard boxes.
The roller itself is commissioned by us, ordered in bulk.
Our current model (most needle lengths) is the "Scientia" roller model from the same factory as Scientia gets their rollers. Again, we use a generic plastic box because Scientia won't of course let us use their brand name on the boxes. But Scientia is just selling rebranded generic rollers for 3 x the price we ask for them. |

How is everyone able to insert the needle about half way in? I can only get the tip in, so it's like a tiny prick... |

Hi avril009,
I have found that on certain parts of the body it's more difficult to get the needle all the way in. I find it's either just too difficult (feels like it wont go any further) or too painful.
I have read on another forum, someone said to take a warm bath before needling as this helps to soften the skin and might make penetration of the needle easier. I'm going to try it soon and see if it helps any. |

Hello Marta & Jezebel,
I have been rolling on & off for a while. I am starting to get serious about using topicals before & after rolls. Just wondering if both of you have used topicals such as C serum & retin A
& if so, how often are you using it in your program? Also, have either of you or anyone else used the advise to get some tanning around 2 weeks after a roll to stimulate the melanin that is forming due to the roll and/needling. |

I have been using vit.c serum and rose hip oil but I am not very consistent with it. |

Martal, thanks for your answer. Have you tried to tan your marks 2 weeks after the roll as recommended by some? You mentioned how your marks turned normal skin color. Also, how long have you been rolling? |

I have to say single needling isnt really that safe. It only works well if you both puncture through the top layer of the skin and the bottom layer. Ive hit veins and tendons/muscle tissue multiple times while doing it. |

Hello everyone,
I am waiting for my roller - 1.5 for stretch-marks to arrive and in meantime trying to figure out which products to use before/after rolling.
Here is what I got: the anti stretch-marks butter, containing unrefined butters - cocoa, shea, macadamia nut, mango, avocado, soy, olive oil, vit E and orange/grapefruit eteric oils. This really work fine with stretch marks, I am just wondering should I use it before or after rolling and should it be immediately after rolling? |

This stretch-marks butter sounds nice. I think you should prep your skin with this about a week or two before rolling. After I roll, I usually wait about an hour or so until my skin calms down a bit and I apply pure Vitamin E oil. I bought the Infadolan ointment but I rarely use it...I'll probably put it on for two or three days after I roll and then I switch back to Vitamin E oil. |

@arivl009
I've got to ask : Why would you wait an hour before applying the oil?
Immediately after rolling (not sure exactly how long) there are opened micro-channels to the dermis. This is the time to apply stuff you want to get deep there instead of getting blocked by the epidermis (outer) layer.
Unless you're applying the oil only to sooth the area.. in that case it's OK |

Yep, the butter already did wonders for my lower back SM, combined with massage and now i wanna try it with rolling..
But, I'm confused (got a bit more than a half thread so far) - so much info!
Anyhow, I'm gonna continue reading since I will be getting one dose of Messo cell lift up with my Dr.rollers (also one 0,5 for face) and I wanna use it once in 5-6weeks, so I have enough time to figure out which kind and where to buy Vit A&C..
But will ask for help, don't worry |

It's more to soothe. I don't really use creams that often because I want my body to naturally heal itself. I use vitamin E oil the most because It used it on some fresh stretch marks a few years ago and they faded very well. I might start applying Infadolan immediately after though, now that you mention it. I'm just a lazy person |

I just want to possibly save you disappointment and wasted time: In my experience (and several others that I corresponded with, as it turned out) for a 0.5mm roller you need to use it 2-3 times a week for the first 3 months at least to build up some collagen. |

I'm gonna use 0.5 on my face, mostly coz of dark spots I have from old acne. I was thinking twice a months, isn't 3 times a week too much?
I also have some Korres Wild rose serum (natural source of Vit C and is used for evening skin tone + can be used under eyes as well)and am thinking using it after rolling face.
Did anyone use Argan oil in between rollings? It has a lot of VitE and Marocan woman are using it during pregnancy and don't have SM at all.. |

I have thick skin (i'm a male),and had no luck yet with pigmentations on my face. I used 0.5 mm and sometimes 1.0 and even 1.5mm, mainly with rose-hip oil. The improvement was nowhere close to the improvement in my stretch mark. Maybe I need to research other oils for that...
I began by rolling every 2 weeks or so, seeing it did nothing I switched to twice a week. Now I kind of neglect it.
I hope you get better results. Please keep us updated!
P.S. Consider also taking vitamin C orally during the rolling period (2000 mg/day). |

1. I just got my hands on some Vit A & D supplement @ my pharmacy. These are softgel capsules each containig Vitamin A (retinyl acetate) - 200 retinequivalent and Vit D (ergocalciferol) - 2,5µg.
I was thinking to squeeze it from the capsules, since it's meant to be taken orally and use it for pre/post treating skin for rolling. Is this the proper form of Vit A to be used on skin?
2. Same goes for Vitc C, I got ampules of 500ml of Ascorbic acid - can I use this to make spray? |

Hi, sorry I'm late to respond on some questions.
Yes I only use dermaroller on my butt, and combo of roller and single needle on my breast. I have seen improvements only on my breast.
I would like to use single needles on my butt, but it is too hard to see and get accurate punctures in the area. If I had help I would definitely use the single needle in that area.
I bought Retin-A in bulk and used it literally a few random times. I don't apply anything before or after treatments, although I probably should start.
This pass summer I didn't get much sun because I was getting laser hair removal, so I didn't try to tan. I don't think I will until my marks are more faded. I don't want to risk losing my freshly formed collagen due to the sun's harmful rays.
Hope everyone else is having great results! |

Hello forum,
I am thinking about starting this derma rolling treatment for my stretch marks, I am really hoping this will help it cause they are driving me nuts.
Reading the threads here I am kind of confused because of the many alternatives, is there like a guide out there that really works?
please enlighten me with some info
tnx |

I never insert the single needle more than
1-1.5 mm. It still worked very well for my stretch marks.I got lots of pinpoint bleeding.
I did use a UV lamp to tan my stretch marks after several months of needling (I have a very old UV lamp. My mother used it for her acne).
My stretch marks tanned but still less than the skin around them. The color of my stretch marks is not shiny white any more and it seems to be permanent. |

Do you mean a guide for rolling? If so, you can check out my blog, I have a post there called "Complete Rolling Guide".
If you meant to ask if there was a guide that sums up all possible treatments for stretch marks, I am not aware of one. I have had some results using a derma roller in combination with some oils (you can see the before&after pics in my blog that show it), but honestly, I believe that nothing can made stretch marks fade totally.
Being realistic you can hope for a 50-60% improvement overall, which is usually just enough to make you feel better about your body!
But keep in mind this takes time and perseverance!
Hope I helped some. |

Hey everyone! I am new here and have a couple of questions for those of you who single needle and use the dermaroller.
I have somewhat thin skin on my abdomen, which is the area I would like to treat. I have two visible veins in that area. Now they do not stick out or anything like varicose veins, and do not appear to be spider veins.
I was just curious if any of you have single needled/dermarolled over surface veins/veins.
Thank you so much for any advice. |
