Hi, I am using Eve Lom cleanser in the evening with the wash cloth and Dermalogica Microfoliant in the morning. I really like the combination of the both but am worried I might be overdoing it as they are both disigned to get rid of dead cells.
What are you views? |

I only use the Eve Lom once or twice a week - I too was worried that it might be too much for my skin. But you know, even when I used it every night everything was fine! I love that stuff!!! Maybe use the other product less often if it's more abrasive? |

I just LOVE Eve Lom cleanser. It is my staple.. simply the best to get skin squeaky clean without stripping it (even the blackheads melt away). I now use it maybe a couple times a week as a special treat and also if the day has been very "dry" or I had make-up on.
But I use the cleansing cloths with my other evening cleansers too.
I can't say I know the Dermalogica Microfoliant, but I dont think I would use a microfoliant cleanswer every morning. Maybe you could alternate it with something else.
What kind of skin do you have? Unless you have skin that really produces a lot of sebrum during the night, you really only need something very gentle in the mornings. |

I've never tried the Eve Lom cleanser, but I have normal to dry skin and while I love Dermalogica Microfoliant I can tell you it dries my face out if I use it daily. It is the most gently exfoliant I've ever used but I still can only use it every other day. Using it on a daily basis dries my skin up like a prune.
You didn't say how your face is looking and feeling after using these daily, but if your skin is fine then you probably aren't overdoing it. Your skin will definitely let you know. |

I have normal to combo skin and can use the Microfoliant daily without any problems. I also do have the Eve Lom cleanser but I only use it occasionally now as I find the process too tedious. Nowadays I only ever pull it out if I want to do the whole 7-step lymphatic drainage massage.
I probably wouln't use both together on a daily basis as there is no need for it. Both are gentle exfoliants but one just seems enough. This might also depend on how harsh you are with the muslin cloth and also on the type of skin you have. |

Hi, I have only just managed to log on and check my post. Thanks for the replys. I have been using both for about a week and I woke up this morning to dry patches on my forhead and cheek! So you are quite right and I think I have now answered my own question! It is too much.
I really do love my Eve Lom and its not at all drying on its own, so it must be the Microfoliant! I really like it though so I think I will just use it a couple of times a week.
I have combo skin by the way.
Thanks for your help guys! |
