I was able to try samples of the NY's frankincense nourishing cream and hydrating cream (the hydrating one agreed with my skin the best). They've just introduced the Frankincense Serum here in the US but are not sampling it.
I can afford only 1 product...I generally like serums best so I think I might purchase the Frankincense Serum.
For those who have used it--
Ok for sensitive skin?
Any breakouts?
Is it hydrating at all?
Thanks for your help. |

I have been using this serum for a while now and really love it. It is less like a traditional serum and more of a milky consistency. I think that for a natural product the formulation is great, however if you are used to using serums made with silicones then the it might take a little getting used to as it can be a bit sticky feeling on 1st application. I don't mind this and feel it is a price worth paying to get a natural product. The only thing I am not so keen on is the dropper bottle it comes in as it seems to lead to some product wastage.
As for results they are great. It can be used day or night and always leaves my skin looking great. It's nourishing and seems to help with fine lines, pores, blemishes everything really.
I have thick, oily skin which is not really that sensitive so it's hard for me to say if it would be suitable for your skin type. My guess is that it would be fine maybe just add a bit of moisturizer on top if you need it.
Hope this helps! |

Where did you purchase? And when you say blemishes--did it clear current break outs or prevent new breakouts? |

I got this at a Neal Yard store near my home in the UK.
Frankincense although most touted for it's anti-aging properties is actually really useful for acne prone skin as well. The oil is an antibacterial which helps prevent breakouts and it also seemed to help heal the skin after a breakout.
I think it's a great product for women who want to address early signs of aging and acne.
Here is a list of ingrediants:
Aqua, Glycerin*, Sucrose distearate, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil*, Centella asiatica (Gotu kola) extract*, Palmitoyl tripeptide-5, Vaccinium corymbosum (Blueberry) oil, Curcuma longa (Turmeric) root extract, Sodium hyaluronate, Boswellia carterii (Frankincense) oil, Citrus bergamia (Bergamot) peel oil expressed*, Citrus nobilis (Mandarin) peel oil expressed*, Tocopherol, Xanthan gum, Cetyl alcohol, Sucrose stearate, Levulinic acid, Potassium sorbate, Citral, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool. |

It has bergamot oil. That can sensitize your skin to UV light and leave brown marks, so it would be good to use a sunscreen with it! |
