I had this problem with Bare Minerals. It was the bismuth that was making me break out. As for the oil, I have very oily skin, but I use a blotting papers, I don't use to much MMU. I used to put primer and a moisterizer underneath, but my skin just does not need it. I use Alima now and it works great on my skin. |

All mineral makeup is not the same. Just as all liquid foundations are not the same. Really. Some "mineral makeup" has only arrowroot powder in it (not mineral, from a plant, no coverage, and cheap), while others have only titanium dioxide (great coverage, clogging, and uber-drying). Tell us more about your skin, THE BRAND(s) you have tried, and we can assist you.
I have used mineral makeup (off and on) for 20 years --- loooong before it was trendy. Tell us more, and we'll be able to help you better. |

I agree that not all MMU's are created equal. Even though the ingredients list maybe similar the quality of ingredients can vary and that make a big difference.
Which brand have you tried? |

I've also heard some people are allergic to BE although I am fine with it. Check the ingredients. |
