Hi DIY-ers! I am new to this forum and am really hoping that I can get some help from all the DIY-ers out there. So let me start out by telling you a little about me – I live in the Midwest so my skin has to put up with very hot humid summers and freezing cold snow filled winters. I’m 42 years old and in perimenopause, so my hormones are up, down and all over the place. And here’s the bad stuff about me – I smoke with no plans to quit currently [maybe after the perimenopause stuff is over] and I was a sun and tanning bed lover for many years. I have deep deep forehead wrinkles – not sure if they are movement lines or just bad skin care routine in early life but I want them gone! And I will not nor can I afford botox or other types of plastic surgery. I have read tons of stuff on the Internet and I’m just so confused about what to use or make! I was hoping someone could give me some ideas of what products to try or make that would help with the forehead wrinkles. Currently I wash my face with a non-soap cleanser, use Hyaluronic Acid cream and top off with Emu Oil. The lines are not going away! I’ve read that Vitamin A is a most have but it needs to be stabilized to work, same with C. Read AHA’s are good but not BHA’s and that you need a high concentration like 25% which I have not been able to find in a product. Read Camellia Oil is great but it appears to work more on hydration than wrinkles. Well I’m sure you’ll know the long list of stuff out there – I just want a simple easy reasonably priced product line or one that I can make myself that will do what I want it to do and that’s to get rid of the forehead wrinkles! Any help would be great and thanks everyone – have a great day! |

Lotioncrafters has a product called Sesaflash that is supposed to help smooth lines. I ordered it but it isn't here yet. I plan on combining it with my Viterol-A for Eyes. The Viterol-A product is very effective - I just want to ramp it up a notch.
FlexEffect facial exercise has exercises specifically for the forehead lines.
Retin-A or tazarotene, vitamin C serum (DIY), sunscreen and facial exercise help me keep my skin smooth. But if you continue to smoke you are just wasting your time and money on skin care products. |

Hello,
I recently had all my hair cut off and having had a fringe all of my life I suddenly noticed my forehead properly for the first time! I was confronted with two lines and one over my left eyebrow (I obviously raise this one more!)
As is always the way with these things, I started to fixate on said lines. I saw them every time I looked in the mirror, It got obsessive!
I was by chance browsing in Boots a few weeks ago and decided to try their Protect & Perfect Beauty Serum - you know, the one everyone was raving about. Well, not one to jump on the band wagon, I have waited a respectable time before purchasing mine.
I could not believe the results though - after only a week of using it twice a day on face and neck my forehead lines were barely visable! It also helped my vertical squint lines that were forming in the inner corners of my eyes that I simply loathed! Also, I have quite bad neck lines - genetics - and I have noticed that the middle line (which is more like two lines) has nearly vanished! I thought this would never happen!!!
The only down side is that if you use this twice a day it only lasts about two weeks and at £20 a bottle it does not work out very cheap - but if it works for you it is worth every penny!!! |

just want to contribute here in case you would get back to this forum. i too don't encourage botox or any other clinical treatments because they're really expensive and you can get quite the same results when you use other remedies. i suggest you try NeuCell anti-wrinkle cream. also use essential oils. search for the recipes over the web. another one is eating the right kind of foods. and of course, quit smoking. believe it or not, smoking does a lot to our skin so stopping it would definitely add life to us literally. |

Wear bangs. Poor woman's botox. Actually bangs are back in style and more youthful looking. It depends on your face, of course. |
