Hello!
I have oily T-zone and also use sunscreen which leaves my skin too shiny.
So I want to use some kind of HEALTHY/NATURAL powder that will not clog my pores or irritate my skin (I have sensitive skin) to just take the shine away. It doesn't need to be tinted and it'd be great if it has long-lasting hold.
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated! |

Hi Josee, My skin is oily also and I use a natural sunscreen which leave my skin a bit shiny. I use the Body Silk Powder by Dr Hauschka it is marketed like a body powder but I only use it on my face. It matifies my skin and helps to control oil it is very natural and I haven't found that it aggravates my skin. Infact it has sage so has some mild anti acne effects as well and the silk is supposed to be good for the skin to help with healing and protection. Dr Jurlique do a silk powder as well which I haven't tried but it gets really good reviews on here and I will probably try it myself in the future. I can say that the Dr Hauschka powder is not so cheap but it does last a long time one container will last over a year even being used everyday. |

I've been using BE's Mineral Veil for years for this. Helps me a ton. I also loved Jurlique's lavender silk powder -- got so many skin compliments when I used this, but it was expensive, so I don't use it regularly. |

I use Make Up For Ever's HD silica powder. Can leave you looking like a ghost if you don't apply it very lightly, but otherwise it works great for absorbing oil.
You can also order generic silica powders if you search google. |

Josee-
I second the generic silica, if you are on a tight budget you can get a lot here super cheap. http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm/product/388_46/silica-powder-spheres.cfm for
I personally also really like the Amazing Matte Loose Finish Powder by Jane Iredale, its expensive but it lasted me over a year with daily use and it works really well for oil control. http://www.dermstore.com/product_Amazing+Matte+Loose+Finish+Powder_7248.htm
I have recently started using (and LOVE) Aubrey Organics Silken Earth Translucent Base. Website blurb " Feather-light, loose base powder blends with your own skin tone to even out color, soften imperfections and give your complexion a healthy glow." It is tinted but VERY lightly. It gives a fantastic airbrushed finish and feels like nothing on the skin, it also has a light cinnamon scent that makes it a pleasure to use. I also love the natural ingredients- Silk powder, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, organic tapioca starch, lauroyl lysine, organic cinnamomum zeylanicum bark powder, organic aloe barbadensis leaf, oryza sativa (rice) starch, tocopherol (vitamin E), iron oxides, silica. You can layer it over MMU or use it alone with great results both ways AND you get a ton of product for the price, its my new go to powder for summer! http://www.aubrey-organics.com/category.aspx?categoryID=31 |

Second the BE mineral veil. I just started to use it and so far like it a lot. It is light weight, oil absorbing and gives a sheer coverage. |

I used to have a super oily T-zone until I started using pearl powder. I brush a small amount on my entire face before my MMU, and now I don't have oily skin at all. No more blotting papers . I buy it from TKB. Here's the link http://www.tkbtrading.com/item.php?item_id=525 |

I thought I had read in reviews that it would be kind of coarse and I expected to have to grind it more, but it is actually a very fine powder. No granules at all. I just went and rubbed some between my fingers and couldn't feel any bumps at all. It just spread very evenly between my fingers. I also bought the silk powder (which I haven't used) and it is the same texture. |
