Do you stop using fake tan in the summer or do you stop using your LED devices?

I don't understand. Are they mutually exclusive?

I use the LED BabyQ all year round. And I use self-tanner on my legs only in the summer.

I like to use both the LED and the self tanner on my arms, knees and around the neck area...I was wanting to know if the light could penetrate the tan...thanks!

When I do these treatments to clients and to myself, I always do an exfolation prior. A tan gives the skin more protection from light, whether it be UV or infrared, red, amber, green etc, any of the visible lights. It will penetrate some, of course, but seems like a waste of time to me!

Make sure you use your LED on pulse, as it gives the treatment more umph. Then you can skip using it for a week while you have a tan. Of course the tan will shed off quicker on your face since you've used the light, but - ah the price we pay for beauty. lol

Thanks girltobe,

Maybe I'll try one of the tans that wash off in the shower.
