The Sculptra is working really well, it took 3 months to start to show and has grown over the past 12 months, and and can see it reducing in size, but for the price I was really pleased with the effect.
How is life on the ocean waves? |
How many treatments did you have?
We are back on dry land - which is quite difficult in Queensland at the moment! Have you heard about the floods here? 75% of Queensland is under water and the capital city, Brisbane, is like a war zone. They're saying it's going to take two years to get everything back to normal. It is truly terrible. |
One treatment.
How awful, I am thinking of you, how is Lulu?

We are fine - there are some advantages to living on the 30th floor of a high rise building! Not that there's any floods in our area though. Lulu is as gorgeous as ever - there's a photo of her visiting Father Christmas on this thread: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=39596&start=75
What about posting a photo of the lovely Evie there.
(Sorry for going off topic everyone!) |

Well that's a trap for young players - are you sure? You could put the billing address as your credit card address - I mean, you might be buying it and sending it to someone as a gift. That's a common enough scenario. |

I'll be waiting eagerly for your review. I'll be interested to see if this is better than the STOP (which wouldn't be hard!) |

Thanks again |

I got the PaloVia laser from QVC today. I charged it and then used it.
Of course the directions say that you have to use the PaloVia gel. I applied the PV gel and another one that I have hanging around to two different spots on my forearm and then I used the device (set for High) on both spots. I could not tell the difference.
Then I used the device with the PV gel, set on high, on my liplines and nasolabial folds. My nasolabial folds are red. I will see how long this lasts. The directions state that use at night is preferred so that any redness can diminish by morning. If the redness is still there late this evening I will try the medium setting next use on the folds to see if the redness will disappear after about eight hours. My skin is a little more sensitive than usual today because I spent hours yesterday in the cold and wind snowblowing my driveway and sidewalks. I forgot to put on a petroleum based cream before I went out and now my skin is suffering for that.
The device is set up so that it can be used for 25 zaps within any eight hour period. I used 25 zaps so I have to wait eight hours before I can use it again.
I really like that the treatment time is just three seconds per zap. 25 zaps at three seconds each is only 75 seconds with a 1-2 seconds needed inbetween to move the device to the next area.
I call them zaps because although not painful, the zap is felt as a zinging sensation. |

Hi, PQ Great to see you back!
I just went to QVC's site and found this,
We're sorry, the PaloVia At-Home Skin Renewing Laser System is no longer available.
I wonder if they are out of stock or just no longer carrying it? |

The PaloVia website lists QVC as a site to order the device from. I think that QVC is out of stock since the initial orders were all advance shipping orders. They probably just need more stock. |

Hopefully,
I have been really good and not shopping, so wasn't sure if they would list out of stock? I thought they used to have a wait list, but maybe there was a greater demand than expected and the manufacturer needs time to catch up? |

If they do get more in I hope the price won't go up from the price for advanced orders. Fingers crossed for you. |

The price listed on QVC is already higher than the advance order price. I paid $413.27 (plus tax) and the listed price is $454.60 with free shipping. The PaloVia website price is $499 with no mention of shipping cost. I don't know about state tax.
There is a "News and Happenings" menu item on the PaloVia website which has a "QVC Airings" section. All of the QVC airings listed have already passed by and future airings are not currently listed. |

Mine arrive yesterday. I am going to try it out tomorrow. I want to wait until the weekend in case I react with redness or swelling (2 potential side effects). |

Well, I couldn't wait. I did my first treatment late last night....I should have gone with my first instinct. This morning i have red welts where the treatment window was placed against my skin. The good news: it looks better than last night. The bad news: I look like I have been in a brawl. Time to got slap on some concealer. |

Cuddles, where did you place the unit on your face? did you do other places besides the eye area? |

Sherry,
I only used in around my eyes. I had welts all day long. My skin is usually pretty tough, so this reaction surprised me--even though the instruction manual clearly states that this is a potential side effect. I will see how it goes next treatment. |

If it worked on other areas of the face/neck, that would be great since I don't have any wrinkles near the recommended treatment area. I watched the VIEW with Dr Brandt; a bit off topic but his face looks very strange to me, like a doll or something. |

The PaloVia laser is listed as "No longer available" when viewing item #A212768.
If PaloVia is searched for, item #A216014 is shown. The laser is listed for sale at $454.60 with S&H included. The ship date is January 28th. |

I got mine yesterday and tried it last night. Whew, it does snap! As red as those areas were last night I would think that there is hope that is is actually a good purchase. This morning the redness is gone so that's good. Definately doing it at night before bed! |
