I took my tattoo about 6 months ago, do you still need to apply sunscreen on it? |

You BET!! I have four tattoos and constantly keep sunscreen on them, and my skin (mainly because I'm a melanoma skin cancer survivor).
I'm not sure if your artist told you or not, but the sun can break down the pigments in tattoos over time. This is espcially true of the bright color pigments. Tattoos will fade when exposed often to bright sunlight, so keeping them covered in sunscreen is a good idea.

listen!!! YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO PUT SUNBLOCK ON TATTOOS- FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE- I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! the number one reason tattoos fade is sun exposure, second to that is bad ink. |

A relatively new cosmetic company is coming out with an anti-oxidant formula and a sunscreen formula for tattoos. The ingredients lists read alright in my opinion, so you may want to have a look at these products. I believe they come in at around $25.00 each.

Hope this helps...

what's the difference between using these products and a good quality skincare regimen with sun block? I just got a rather large backpiece done and I use my regular skincare products. |
