I LOVE to read... but like to save my $$ for say... oh my FAVORITE cosmetic.
Check out this site: You can swap used books. All you ever pay is the postage to mail out a book. Others pay postage to send books to you of your choosing... I LOVE IT!!! I've gotten 8 books that I'm enjoying immensely and gotten rid of books that I have no need for...

If you have any books to recommend I'd love to hear about them. I LOVE historical, fictional "biographies". Just finished Helen of Troy... AWESOME! |

I love to read as well. Historical fiction is alot of fun - sometimes way better than the real thing. My husband is a history geek & he gets totally disgusted with my misinformation .
I think that Philappa Gregory would be my favourite author in this genre.
However.....I'm currently reading Broken Window by Jeffery Deaver and I am going to need to read it again. It's so exciting that I find myself skipping paragraphs, pages to get to what happens next. It's a scary book about stolen identities through....what else...computers. Agh!!!! |

I read a lot and skincare and books are my two main weaknesses when it comes to spending. My boyfriend likes to read also and says that my habit of going to his place and picking up and reading the book he is in the middle of is far and away my most infuriating habit .
Historical fiction is an excellent escapist read and I love books by the English writer Rosalind Miles. I especially enjoy the Arthurian romances she has written.
I don't have a favorite writer as such but I love books by Milan Kundera, Isabelle Allende and Angela Carter.
That website looks interesting but I find it hard to part with a book once I have read it and enjoyed it. I always say my legacy will be my library! Another website to check out iswww.goodreads.com you can post what you are reading and reviews and if you like a certain book you can see what other people who read that also enjoyed. |
