I lost 9lbs in 2 weeks from the South Beach Phase One Diet. It is two weeks of cutting out all carbs and sugar. It CAN be done and especially if it is only 2 weeks. then you have the phase 2 and 3 which is maintenance and it is healthy carbs and whole grains along with low fat stuff. My hubby lost 11 pounds in 2 wks but he is 6ft and was over 200 lbs. It is safe and doable. they have wonderful recipes that make it easy to have those 5-6 meals a day. You need to do that to lose weight. I lost 15 total in about 6 weeks and he lost 23. We did it to get ready for a cruise after a long winter.

But if you are just trying to BE and eat healthy, just look around that web site cuz they have all phases on there. To the left they have EVERYTHING. Yummy stuff and all healthy.
Once you rid your body of those heavy carbs and sugars, you feel really good and you crave less or not at all. I don't know what you goal is just thought I'd add my own experience in there just in case. |

Hello,
I just wanted to point out that most of the rapid weight loss experienced in the first weeks of diets that restrict carbs severely is due to ketosis and subsequent dehydration, not due to real fat loss.
Barksdale, I do have a lot of healthy recipes (I really like cooking and I've been doing a balanced, healthy diet for some time) so if you tell me more or less what you're looking for, I might be able to help you out.
HTH,
Josee |
