I am always very diligent about doing my laundry and transferring my clothes to the dryer when they are done. In fact I never left more then 10 min. pass before transferring them to the dryer.
I don't know why, but for some reason this week I had totally forgot that I didn't transfer my last load. Two days later I finally realized it. However, what I found was that the load had never actually gone all the way through because it had some type of error that stopped the cycle. So it never spinned the water out of the blanket and towel that was in there, they were both soaking wet and heavy. So, my question is that I am wondering is if it is still the same thing as leaving damp clothes in, and could mildew of happened in completely drenched fabric? I know that people sometimes soak clothes immersed in water for a few days. What is the difference, is it more like that? Should I be concerned about the items? I am re-soaking them again in a bunch of vinegar right now. I'm just curious. It's just a blanket and a towel and I'd be more inclined to just make them into rags if they are ruined. Thanks! |

| When I've done that I just wash them again with soap and the hottest water they can take. Then they are fine. HTH |
