Hi everyone! I am looking for a good facial sunscreen (spf 20 or higher) that isn't all greasy and oily... Any suggestions?

I was just going to post this question!

Sadly, my favorite isn't as high an SPF as you wanted...my derm just recommended to me "Ombrelle Sport Spray" with an SPF of 15.

I really like it a lot, aside from the smell. That's not really an issue though, it's a good sunscreen for me.

I have oily, acne prone skin.

Well, I'm liking my Skinceuticals Ultimate Defense. That's an SPF30 and I've been using it for ages now. Another one you might want to check out is Shiseido Anessa. HTH

Neutrogena Dry touch SPF45, I recommended to my friend (a nurse) and she recommends to all of her patiences, they all love it. It's not oily at oil, it's almost like you have nothing on.

Another one is Shiseido Anessa, they have a 50+, which is not oily too, but harder to buy, no one carries it here in Boston Sad

I like the Coppertone Faces Oil-Free spf 30. It is "stable" and has good broad spectrum protection. It doesn't leave a white cast and though creamy, is not too, too creamy. I do not mind a slightly dewy finish on my skin though.

I like this one: DDF Matte Finish Photo-Age Protection SPF 30. It's not greasy and has dries matte but it's not waterproof so I have to use a sporty one for tennis.
I was just at the Mayo Clinic with a friend who was having several patches of skin cancer removed from her face. Scary. I wish I had protected my skin better when I was younger.

Hi Mabsy, I have an unused bottle sitting on my table... Does it leave a white cast and have you ever used foundation over it? I'm currently using Shiseido extra smooth sunscreen spf30. It's a great product which eventually dries up to a matte finish without the white cast but not so great with my tinted moisturiser - hard to describe but the tinted moisturiser looks 'blotchy' Thanks again for your advice Smile

Hi Jcw - I have not had any problems with this one leaving a white cast - mind you I'm not sure if we're talking about the same product - mine comes in a tube... HTH

Btw, while we're on the topic of TMs and sunblocks, Murad makes a *fab* tinted misturising sunblock. I'm pale and this just gives that tiny hint of "healthy" color to my face. Very happy with it!

Hi Mabsy, thanks! You're right, I was meant to say that mine also comes in a tube and not bottle. I wasn't sure what to do with it when I got it with my SC purchase. I'll give it a try when I'm through with my Shiseido sunscreens. Thanks as well for the advise on Murad TM. I'm currently loving the concept of TMs but wish that they contained broad spectrum sunscreen so I'm not layering on too much things Wink BTW, does the Murad TM come in different colours?

Nope, just the one color as far as I know. I do like it for the very reason you mentioned, it minimises layering. The other good option is to use a liquid bronzer (I've got Dr Hauschka's) and mix that is with your sunblock or moisturiser to make your own tinted cream/sunblock Smile
