Of course I dont remember the name of the at home dry cleaning system - but it comes with a huge bag and a sheet that you use to clean the clothes.
I was wondering if this is safe to use with any clothes. I just bought a pair of pants that are 52% cu (whats that?) and 48% rayon that say professional dry clean only. Now that leads me to think i HAVE to go to a dry cleaners... but i dont want to. (Unless of course doing it myself will ruin the pants).
Do you guys have experience with this at home system? ive had no problems with my sweaters.
thanks |

You're thinking of Dryel. I like it and I've had no problems using it with all my dry clean only stuff. Recently I found the Woolite version at Safeway. They're just sheets and you don't need a bag with them. I think they were cheaper than the Dryel, I bought them because my Safeway doesn't carry Dryel.
I really like the Woolite ones! I haven't used them for spot cleaning but they get clothes clean. I've cleaned a cashmere cardigan a few times, it's black and it always gets deodorant stains on it. I also cleaned a dress I wore out to the theater - it's a really nice dress but after one night of wearing it, I noticed deodorant stains and makeup stains from not being careful taking it off. After using the Woolite sheet, my dress looked like new, smelled great and since I hung it up right away - there's not a wrinkle in it! One sheet cleans up to 4 items, it's way cheaper than sending anything to the cleaners.
I really liked the Dryel set I got a while ago but now I'd like to try both brands side by side to compare them. My favorite Dryel product is the stain remover. If I could get that by itself, I'd be super happy. |
