I am going to France for a day of shopping next week and plan to buy a few items from the Thermal water ranges - the ones that have caught my eye are La Roche Posay, Vichy and Avene.
I have acne prone fairly sensitive skin which looks a little dehydrated sometimes.
I have had a look at the ranges and plan to buy:
1)facial spray of the thermal water - which brand would be best for me?
2)a wash off cleanser (mild). The two that have taken my fancy are Vichy Purete Thermal foaming cleanser (blue tube) and Avene gentle cleansing gel. Any others that I should look into?
3)Toners - such as the Vichy Purete range and the La Roche Posay Physiological soothing toner.
4)a skin treatment such as Avene Cleanance K.
Basically does anyone use any of these ranges and have any recommendations for my skin!?
Thanks x |

You can try the Uriage/ Sothys / Dermophil brands too. they're not known outside, but rather known in france here itself |

Thanks for the reply - I'm just looking into their products on the internet now!
Does anyone have any experience with Avene Cleanance K and Diacneal? Can you use them together and how do they compare with eachother?
Also has anyone tried the Clean Ac hydrating moisturiser and the Clean Ac Cleansing Cream?
Thanks again. |

Yes, some friend of mine from France says that thermal water of Uriage should be the best among all. |

I think La Roche-Posay's EFFAKlAR foaming cleanser maybe suitable, which targets on the acne prone skin, it's very gentle, making the skin clean and suitable to the sensitive skin. It has the same pH as the skin(6.5). I recommend it strongly. It's one of best cleansers I have ever used.
Avene has more products designed for the sensitive, I like Avene's thermal water as toner very much. I tried La Roche-Posay's toner, but Avene's is more comfortable. When my skin grows red and uncomfortable, Avene's thermal water always makes me calm. |

Sorry, the whole name for the La-Roche-Posay cleanser I recommend is Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel. There are a lot of positive reviews about this cleansers online. I have used two tubes, like it very much. |

I've tried termal sprays from all four brands, Avene, LRP, Uriage and Vichy.
Among them, Avene is the most mild and hydrating, also calms irritated skin; Vichy is the most irritating which means it is probably only suitable for healthy skin, if your skin is sensitive, Vichy is not for you; LRP gives me no impression at all, so I guess it must be too common; Uriage is refreshing and moisturizing, keeps your face glow.
I also tried Evian, also no feeling. |

Great, thanks for all your tips! I'm definitely going to look for the Uriage spray next week. And the Effaclar cleanser.
I love trying new cosmetics! |
