Hi! I'm new to the forums, so forgive me if I break any 'unwritten etiquette' with my post.
My questions are about eye creams/treatments. I have had under eye circles for as long as I can remember. I can deal with them with a little cover-up, I am so used to them they don't bother me so much any more. What does bother me is that I now (I'm 39) have wrinkles under my eyes, probably from slathering on creams and treatments for 25 years trying to get rid of the dark circles (of course aging doesn't help). I don't really care about crow's feet (I hardly have any), what I care about are these wrinkles under my eyes and the bags under my eyes. The wrinkles only show when I smile.
I have spent so much money trying different things that I have come to the conclusion that no cream or treatment is going to work. I don't want to get botox or injectables or some other expensive treatments, but I am beginning to think that is my only choice.
I happened upon these forums and saw some products I'd like to try before going the next step. Neocutis and Cellcosmet sound promising (though I would love to hear other suggestions), and I would like to try the Valmont eye masks. There are so many products out there it gets pretty confusing and frustrating - I can't afford to try them all, and I really don't want to, so any suggestions on things that might work would be appreciated.
The other problem is I am at a point where spending hundreds of dollars AGAIN on things that doesn't work at all doesn't sound like a good idea. Is there a way I can get samples of this stuff for a lower price somewhere?
And finally, is it even worth trying some of these things or should I just call a good cosmetic surgeon and start saving money lol |

There are two products that I can think about which is the TimeWise Eye Revitalizer and the Indulge Soothing Eye Gel, both by Mary Kay. They are used to tone, firm and reduce the appearance of puffiness in the eye area. Hope this helps.

I recommend Helena Rubinstein eye care products. I used their products for quite a long time and it really helped to resolve the problems around eyes. The prodigy eye cream is good for releasing the wrinkles, and the collagen eye cream is good for replenishing water and release dark circle. |

Hi MsGitt, welcome to EDS!
There are many threads on dark rings really, every one promoting some product that they have used, the good and bad.
I personally have this issue as well. I have tried the following:
Peter Thomas Roth - good eye cream. done nothing for my dark rings
Easyeye - this is really more a eye bag solution cream. But I still use it and I guess over time it will help with the dark rings. My eyes do look brighter after applying it though
Clinque All About Eyes - done nothing
SAS Bright-I - burned my eye area and I broke our in ezcema
DIY - this is what I'm using right now, I put: green tea extract, rosehip seed oil, Lecithin and SAS Anti-Oxidant booster. I'm really loving this cream now.
Babor Sensational Eye gel - Great eye cream but not much effect on the rings.
Bioderma 24k gold eye cream for dark rings - when i first used this, it was amazing!! then later the results started to fade off
Home made gelatin eye mask - I still do this every now and then for the tight feeling I get in my under eye |
