After a serious outbreak of eczema, which is now under control/disappeared, thanks to prescription-strength cortisone cream, my skin is left in a total, dry mess.

I try to moisturize with products for dry skin (which I had already before this disaster), and yesterday, I tried using the Jan Marini SkinZyme mask, but the effect was underwhelming. I sleep with the Decleor Angelique night balm plus Iris aromessence, and as we speak, I'm wearing a thick layer of Decleor Hydra Floral mask, but I suspect it won't help for long. But what more can I do? I don't think my skin is fit enough yet for glycolic acid, and in my experience, vaseline etc. will only help on the surface, with the skin underneath being just as dry as before.

Any tips? Masks? Anything at all? Embarassed

Have you tried Aveeno's Eczema Care Cream? It's worked well for me! I see you've mentioned quite a few high end products in your post but I think this is a drugstore gem, very soothing, not greasy, no scent, absorbes right it.

I know how frustrating it can be to find something that works! For my excema, this one generally works quite well and I almost always have a jar on hand for flareups:

Chamomile Rose Face Creme
http://www.greenridgeherbals.com/index.php?i=moisturizers%26view=0

These two are on my list to try as many swear by them for skin irritations including excema with the latter often described as a natural sort of cortisone:

Weleda Face Food

Jurlique Viola Cream
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/jurlique-viola-cream-p_8257.htm

Good luck, Nemi!

Thanks, people. You're invaluable. Very Happy

what actually helped my skin this time, was this mask, applied as a moisturizer. I have been using it day and night for the past three days now, and my skin has never looked better, so I'm quite tempted to try other products from this range.

Vita Min Mask

Green People.

100% Shea Butter from L'Occitane works wonders...just ask my eczema from birth son (now 19). Whole foods sells NOW brand that is very very nice for a modest cost.
