I have several red vascular broken veins in my face. I would like to ask anyone with same, what they do about them. Has anyone had laser treatments for these and were they successful? Where do you go to get them and how much is each treatment. Tell me about the treatment? Thanks |

I got IPL for the broken capillaries in my face and it worked like a charm.
I needed to get 2 to get rid of all of them, and last year I got another one because some re-appeared.
I know the costs varies a lot depending on the place. In my case it was $500 per session.

I had mine lasered a couple years ago, it was about $500. But they come back extremely quickly in new areas. I don't really think it's worth it. HTH! |

Same thing happened with me. I had it done twice with no lasting result. |

Have any of you found a solution to cover them. I bought Jane Iredale cover and within minutes I can see them again. |

I'm prone to those too. Mostly hereditary. I had mine lasered many years ago and LOVED the results, which lasted, for me, for a couple years at least.
Don't recall what kind of laser was used, but I coated my face with EMLA cream in advance (got to hang out in spare empty office while it was slathered on, and read a magazine) and once my skin was numbed up, "Colleen" then zapped areas individually by hand, sort of like drawing or tracing the tiny red lines.
A day or two later, it was like magic. Didn't need makeup, just a dusting of mineral powder on my t-zone.
They do grow back, or new ones show up, eventually. My experience was different than fat_swan's; I wouldn't say for me they came back "extremely" quickly at all.
If I could afford it I'd do it again right now. It's definitely on my wish list for the future.
As for covering the ones I have (upper lip on the right side, a few on the sides of my nostrils, a couple on my cheek) I use a mineral powder concealer before brushing on my mineral makeup and finishing powder. Either that or a liquid MMU smoothes things out well. Have never tried the Jane Iredale cover. |

It does work. But you need to keep it up to maintain it.
I was wondering if the LED lights will help? |

Not in my case because they returned so quickly I'd have to keep going back every 2 weeks. |

As far as covering them up I can not say enough good things about "Colortration". The absolute best concealer I've ever used. I've used it on extremely dark bruises from getting filler under my eyes and it covers it completely. You only need the tiniest amount to cover something. And you can buy sample colours from them really cheap.
