Hi, Everybody, I'm in a slump. I've had a rough texture on my chin area for several years. Of course, I'm trying many things to improve it. I dermaroll, 1.5 every 4 weeks or so, use retina (have for over 20 years) a few times a week, 25% tca peels occasionally, Dermawand occasionally, and I just bought a FaceMaster. Oh, and I recently started using hemp oil. I used to get fillers for wrinkles, but finances are such that I really can't do that right now. Granted, I've always been one to overdo, BUT I really try to space out my treatments to allow my skin to recover. I feel like I'm swimming upstream. Crying or Very sad Honestly, I see asolutely NO improvement. My self esteem is sinking. I just want to give up, but, I know I won't. I've had bad skin since the age of 12. It's such a big issue for me. Crying or Very sad I just don't know what else to do. I'm so discouraged. I wish I didn't care.

I agree it might be worth a visit to a derm. Some times this cause be caused by a yeast type infection on the skin or another condition.

I don't think irritating product will do any good. Perhaps the better way is trying to find out the reason which has caused your problem. Good Luck!

Hi, Guys, Thanks for the replies. I did see a derm and he said the rough texture was just the way my skin is. Confused

Mars, have you seen the 302 + 302 FAQ threads? I wonder if a change to something completely different like that might help your skin.

It's a huge read, Mars, but one that is worth it! And there's lots of support on those threads.

If you find you aren't ready for 302 yet, though, there's also Jan Marini's Age Intervention Cream or Serum and the new Age Intervention Transitions products which are supposed to improve "rough facial texture".

Also, the NIA24 products work to improve skin texture and tone and is often one of the first effects people notice when using them.

Thank you very much. I'll look into these, too. So nice of you to make the recommendations for Smile me.
