Been MIA for a while..so sorry! Miss you al!!!
So, as many of you know, I am an avid user of retin-a and obagi nu-derm and hydroquinone, and also Skin Ceuticals c/e plus ferulic in the day..I also supplement a bit with the 302 line if there is too much irritation and also vivite.
I am planning to be in the sun a lot in the next few months..
I am a huge sunblock user and MMU user.
However, my body gets tan and I look funny with my white face...more than a few comment..lol.
If I self-tan my face, it sloughs off due to retin-a, etc.
Anyone here know if it is ok to stop retin-a for a few months (I have been using for 5 plus yrs) and just use maybe the c-products,sunblock and maybe vivite here and there?
What about the hydroquinone?
I love emu oil too...
I want to be safe and happy and healthy and not ruin all my hard work. We will be boating alot and I will be shooting again.
I was a model for years and had to be tan...My mom has used retin-a for 30 yrs and has amazing skin and still lays out and gets tan with block all summer ( we crazy russians!)
I use self-tanner,too, though on the bod.
IS there any waterproof bronzer for the face?
Or should I use a self-tanner and just stop the exfoliants?
Any help I do appreciate!
Thanks so much!
Love this place!

I think it is probably a good idea to give your yourself a break from the hydroquinone for a bit, you can always resume in the fall, as long as you keep up your sunblock.
I'll let someone else answer about the retin A (they'll have to pry that stuff out of my cold dead hands).
I do wonder if self tanning the face can lead to darkening areas where there had been melasma. Perhaps someone else would be able to answer that as well. |
