This may not be truly skin related, but apparently this cream is to be applied to the cuticles with excellent results for nail growth. Has anyone tried it and if so, what were your results? It comes with an unconditional money back guarantee. Thanks!

I have no idea about that particular product but when my nails have been in horrible shape, dry, peeling, cracking, I used Nailtiques #2 and the results are wonderful. It also helps to keep them polished (with Nailtiques as base coast and top coat.) HTH Smile

Never heard of that product but I second Nanapost, I use nailtiques formula 2#, also their nail oil, which is fantastic..

oooh, may have to try their nail oil. I don't think I've seen it. Is it really good for dry nails?

Thanks for the responses. I have tried Nailtiques #2 and at first it works but then, it seems to be like everything else, it just stops working. Maybe I should just give it another chance since all of the responders to my Nailbirth question seem to be touting Nailtiques instead. What is the oil though - I hadn't heard of it? When and where do you use it - on cuticles or on actual nail pre-polish? (probably not pre-polish, now that I think of it!) How often are you using Nailtiques - when you have polish on and use it as base and top coat, do you still apply more topcoats every 3, I think, days? Thanks!

I use the nailtiques daily to start out with and then after a month I used it every 2 days. Give it a try again and if after a month you don't see a difference you should then switch to formula #2 PLUS.

It's worked wonders for me. I've only had 1 broken nail since the begining of september! It's not going as well for my mom so we're going to switch her to the plus formula soon

I use the nailtiques every other day. The nail oil is great for my nails as the are brittle, dry and snap easily. I let the nailtiques semi dry then paint over with the nail oil. I use the oil twice a day over the whole nail and they are far more moisturised and far less brittle. My nails are lovely and strong..

bro787,
The more often I appled the Nailtiques #2, the better my nails got. I usually use it every day over my polish. When I tried it without polish, it didn't work as well so definitely wear polish even if its clear. Good luck. Smile

I used Nailtiques when I had my artificial nails removed. You know how paper thin they are when you first stop having acrylics done? The nailtiques worked great at strengthening and bringing my nails back to a natural state.

I have used an oil by Malava which I apply to the cuticle area every night. It is for rapid nail growth and it works for me. It has worked very well on my dry, brittle nails. My nails are so beautiful that people think that they are fake. I swear by this product.

Haven't heard of Nailbirth. Have tried everything else including Nailtiques with no results. The Nailtiques kept peeling off of my nails and in the end, the chemicals made my nails worse. Going to try myrrh (sp) oil next since all natural. Also taking horsetail supplements and at least now they're not splitting vertically ...

I've tried Opi Nail Envy, Nail Eat and Drink, Trind and Pro Strong on my nails and every time no matter how careful I am with my hands, my nails fracture at least a quarter of the way down the finger, then they catch and rip off and im left in agony for days till the skin starts to recover. I cut them all back to the same length and start again, and every single time the same thing happens. I also use OPI Avoplex on my cuticles and even Miracell, which, according to their website is fab for anti aging if you like oil girls -www.miracell.com. All I want it nice nails. I exfoliate my hands regularly and I think they look quite young. Any tips on where I'm going wrong folks.....

Cindi,

I used to be an avid OPI fan, until I found the nailtiques! This stuff is AMAZING! It's worked way better than nail envy ever did for me.

I find that I still occassionally get a break, but not like before. I use the nailtiques formula #2 and it's worked great. My mom had to switch to the #2Plus and it's been really good for her. For the first time in years she had to cut her nails because they were getting too long!!!

How do you care for your nails? The best shape is a square tip. It prevents breakage. Round slightly, but NEVER file up/down the sides of your nails as it weakens your nails. Also when filing you should ALWAYS go in one direction using short strokes. Sawing or going from the outsides towards the center on both sides are also no-no's.

Another problem could be the remover that you use.

When you go to repurchase your nail envy I urge you to consider the Nailtiques instead. Their products are truly a miracle for me. I use
-Formula #2
-Polish Remover
-Nail Oil
-Cuticle and skin cream (A must have product, I'll do a review of it soon)

Cheers for that lianne, Ive spent so much trying to get my nails right, I forgot to mention Nails Inc too. I must admit I do file down the sites as I always get odd bits growing from nowhere. I have no real manicure skills to speak off. Im going to look for nailtiques definately. You've won me over, big hugs Very Happy

I never knew about filing down the sides either...It was the nailtiques package that I learned that from!

I swear half the nail techs out there don't have a f*ing clue what they are doing. I've had them do all those things they shouldn't do!

Also nail buffing isn't very good as it thins your nails out.

I have that too....It's a vitamin B deficiency. I can't remember which B, I think it was a couple different ones. If you get those white dots they are a protein deficiency.
