I recently grabbed a bottle of what I thought was conditioner at the store and purchased it, only to get home and find that it is a 'hair rinse'. I have never used such a product before. I read the directions, but it does not mention whether or not you leave it in or rinse it out. Am I being stupid here and overlooking the obvious? Do you rinse out a hair rinse?

I am not sure what exactly you purchased but in general rinses are to be applied after shampooing then rinsed. They do not condition as well as something labeled as "conditioner".
Leave-in usually state "do not rinse" and "apply to clean hair..."
What product did you buy?
BTW I have more conditioning products than I can count! |

The product I used is Egyptian Henna Shine-Enhancing Clean Rinse by Aubrey Organics

They apparantly don't carry a conditioner for oily hair and suggest you use a rinse instead. Since I have an oily scalp, but dry ends I think I'll go with the rinse for my scalp and use a 'real' conditioner for my ends. I'll go with rinsing out the rinse because that really makes more sense to me. Thanks for your advice.  |
