I'm 28 (though most people say I look like I'm 23) and I'm starting to see fine lines and deeper set of smile lines around my mouth. Wanted to up my skincare routine to incorporate anti-aging products. Sadly, when I introduced Vit C, it clogged my pores instead.
I think I tried retinol (Dufferine) and it irritated my skin.
Any suggestions on how I can reduce my fine lines without using retinol for an acne prone skin person? |
Retinols and retin A do irritate your skin.
I am 27 (soon) and started on retinol 0.5% (Skinceuticals) in January...I was dry and peeling just on that!!!
I now use 0.025% retin A and have had no real problems- the only parts where it can peel badly are around my nose/mouth (exactly where I have faint creases when I smile that can take a bit longer than I would like to go away).
I did though, use nia24 consistently from april onwards before I recently began on retin A (for acne mainly, my skin started to break out again) which may have strengthened my skin somewhat.
I still don't use retin A every night- I'm working up to it.
As for a 20 year old with wrinkles...I have never seen a 20 year old with wrinkles. The most I have seen are faint crows feet lines from smiling, but I think that's a genetic tendency. |

I think you don't need anti aging creams yet because you are still young.Maybe your getting those wrinkles because you don't get enough sleep or rest. That is the reason why most women as young as you are have those skin problems that you suppossably don't have yet.,So my advise to you is get enough sleep and avoid too much stress. |

Hey girls, just be careful with the anti-wrinkle products that you use. Most of them might just be too strong for your young and mild skin. Besides, you don't really have to be conscious of that since you're really young to be concerned about aging. Anyway, I know a mild anti-wrinkle cream. You can check out NeuCell. I also suggest that you try natural remedies. |
