I spent years and wasted a lot of money looking for good pet stairs for my bunnies to use so they could climb up on the couch for snuggle time, and I finally found the best ones ever so I thought I'd share so I could spare other pet owners the trouble I went to.
The biggest problem I had with the other pet stairs I used (besides the fact that they were unsightly...) was the steps were either too narrow, too slippery, or both. The buns could get up on the couch easily enough, but when it came time to get down they were always scared because the stairs didn't give them a secure place to land. Luckily I eventually stumbled onto a website that sold "Puppy Stairs":

I was immediately intrigued--- I loved that you could choose the cover fabric to match your decor, and I also loved the flexibility of being able to basically custom design a set of stairs or ramp based on your specific needs.
Honestly I thought they were a little bit pricey, but I was frustrated because I had tried everything else and nothing was good enough, so I took the plunge and ordered two steps in beige berber. I must say, these steps have exceeded my expectations in every way possible! For starters, they look beautiful in my living room--- the quality of the materials is just unreal. Best of all, the bunns love them. They feel so secure using them and now they hop up and down to their hearts' content, and they even like to play on the stairs. The puppy stairs people weren't kidding when they said they used industrial quality foam, by the way--- sometimes DH and I sit on the stairs ourselves or use them at a foot rest and they support us beautifully. We were so pleased we ordered another larger set. |
