Apologies in advance if I'm duplicating. I've been "away" for a while, though I have looked through recent threads and done a search.
With my beloved Remergent DNA Repair now gone, I'd love to hear what others are using as a replacement. I was hopeful about the ZO line as a possible substitute, but it seems like it has gone out of favor with its original users.
So...what are you guys using?
Remergent was the first line from which I hadn't strayed! |

I know, I loved Remergent DNA Repair, too.
I'm currently trialling NIA 24 and Neocutis, but haven't been using them for long enough to give a proper opinion. What I can say is that the Neocutis Journée is a fantastic sunscreen - with an SPF of 30 and no white cast or shine. |

I was about to say the same thing! I use this product and LOVE it. I was never able to use the DNA repair, because it had silicones and that will make me break out. This sunscreen is great and sinks right in. |

Will do, StellaMarie.
Actually, I've just received the Neocutis Intense PSP Serum from EDS this morning. I intend to try it on problem areas - around the eyes, crow's feet, naso-labial etc. If that works, then I may well invest in more Neocutis products.
I'll report back after I've used the container up. Fingers crossed! |

Does Neocutis use the same DNA repair technology as in Remergent? Thanks! |

I love the texture of the sunscreen. Unfortunately I was a bit too greasy by the middle of the day. I may give it a try again in winter. |

No, I'm afraid not. I don't know whether there is any product currently available using exactly the same technology - although I'm sure the greedy Estee Lauder people will come up with something expensive and far less effective now that they've had DNA Repair taken off the market.
I believe that Neocutis contains growth factors and something they call PSP. Sorry, I'm not very technologically-minded, but here's the Neocutis site which does explain a little about how it works: http://www.neocutis.com/ |

I think you may find that the new Estee Lauder product Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex may be their answer for DNA repair as it is being heavily promoted as that. And since Daniel Yarosh now works for Estee Lauder, I am sure his technology is in it. If anyone has used it, I would be interested to know what they think. |

I remember reading somewhere that Lancaster is one of that brands that also uses the DNA technology licensed by Remergent. I wonder if anyone has tried their products? |

Yes, it would be great if anyone who tries it would post and give their opinion, please.
I'm still bristling about Estee Lauder buying the company and taking it off the market, bushy. I'd be delighted if it's still effective and not hyped up price-wise, but Estee Lauder have such a poor track record with this kind of thing, and I'm loathe to buy anything from them.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with it, though. |

I would love to see an ingredient list on the new Estee Lauder products:
Estee Lauder introduces facial skin repair technology
By Simon Pitman, 16-Jul-2009
Estee Lauder has launched Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recover Complex, which is claimed to be a breakthrough in facial skin repair.
The company says that the technology is the culmination of extensive research in the field of genetic aging, which helps provide continuous and optimized night-time repair.
The facial cream combines Chronolux technology, which is said to combine with the natural skin repair mechanism to enhance the skin cell repair and protection process, alongside a new patented technology that encapsulates Alky Guanine Transferase (AGT), which helps to repair visible damage caused by environmental assaults.
Synchronizing the skin cell clock
Estee Lauder says that the crucial discovery made during its research is the fact that each skin cell contains its own ‘clock’ that dictates its DNA repair mechanism, rather than the previous belief that there was a ‘master clock’ which achieved cellular synchronization.
The fact that cells have their own clock means that the natural synchronization of these cells can be compromised, causing the cellular repair and protective process to slow down, ultimately compromising DNA repair.
Bearing this discovery in mind, the research and development team at Estee Lauder formulated the new facial repair product to target this problem, using the Chronulux technology as a means of obtaining cell synchronization.
Preventation and rehydration
As well as providing the synchronization and the enhanced environmental repair, the company says that the product also provides prevention and rehydration properties from a blend of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid.
The inclusion of this blend is said to help safeguard the skin by neutralizing up to 90 percent of environmentally-generated free radicals.
Estee Lauder is currently promoting the new launch in the US through a scheme that will see 250,000 10-day samples of the product distributed in specialty and department stores country-wide." |

I contacted Estee Lauder and they were very forthcoming with the ingredients:
Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Lactobacillus Ferment, Cola Acuminata (Kola) Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Pantethine, Caffeine, Glycereth-26, Sodium RNA, Squalane, Oleth-3 Phosphate, Oleth-3, Oleth-5, Bisabolol, Choleth-24, Ceteth-24, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile), Solium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, TEA-Carbomer, Trisodium EDTA, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Methyparaben, Benzyl Alcohol, Green 5 (C1 61570), Yellow 5 (C1 14700).
I do not know what was in the previous formula (Protective Recovery Complex) so can't compare but I did query the caffeine and was basically told that it is being added for two reasons. It has the benefit of making the ingredients absorb better and faster and it is of benefit to those with puffy eyes as the product, if used under the eye, will reduce any puffiness.
When I heard this, I had a look at a number of other products and found that caffeine has now crept into a lot of them eg almost all the new Lancome products, many Clinique products including the Repairware Deep Wrinkle for Face & Eyes (I recently tried a sample of this and was blown away by how fast it absorbed and how good it made my skin and under eye area look (so much for all those who have blasted Clinique products and convinced me and probably many other to stay away from the line)). |

ME TOO!
I'm trying the Neocutis line -- the hydrogel and the eye cream. I'd been thinking about it anyway, and then when I went to my derm's office for a peel, I talked to the esthetician about the line and she thought it was great as did the rest of the office (according to her).
She also said her desk looks like a beauty editor's. Sometimes I think I would enjoy her job. |

I have tried Valmont DNA repair serum, I love it very much! But I don't know if it has some thing in common with the famous Remergent product. |

Just wanted to report as I've finished the NeoCutis Bio-Serum Intensive Spot Treatment and have also been using the Nia24 Intensive Recovery Complex for a few weeks now.
I have to say that the NeoCutis Spot Treatment didn't last very long for me (used under eyes, on crow's feet, forehead and naso-labial lines), and I can't see any signs of improvement. Of course, you may have to use it for a longer time to see any benefits. I think I may just stick to using their Journée Day Cream with SPF30 instead as I really love that.
As for the Nia24, I'm very impressed. When I first started using it, a few spots appeared and I thought I'd have to stop. However, I persevered and am now finding that my skin is looking very clear. I haven't had a single spot for the last almost 3 weeks.
I'm also liking the Nia24 Sun Damage Repair for Decolletage and Hands. I've been using it every night, with cotton gloves on top. Whilst my hands don't look perfect, I'm sure I can see an improvement in tone. They seem to look clearer and the little pigmentation there was appears to have been minimised.
So I'd highly recommend both Nia24 products and the fantastic NeoCutis Journée Day Cream. I'm undecided on the NeoCutis Intensive Serum, I'm afraid - but, as I said, it may take longer to show results. |

Valmont has a DNA repair serum. This product is said to could provide rapid relief to the skin, but this July when I was burned by sun, I remembered that I had a sample of this product. Then after applying for several times, I found nothing changed. |

Hey y'all!
I got a little tester of the Advanced Night Repair - Synchronized formula in a gift bag and I think it is pretty good so far. I actually like the thinness of consistancy it feels a little lighter on my skin and I liked how my skin looked the next day. i'll write a review after I used it for a week or two consistantly (right now I'm doing a boost treatment with the ANR concentrate. |

I am just trying the Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex at the moment as I was curious to see what it would be like now that Daniel Yarosh is working for the company and I am sure he has had a hand in this product as it is quite exceptional. I have only used it for a week at this stage but I had been getting a bit puffy around the eyes and the skin looked like it was sagging a bit (trialling other products) but that has now disappeared and my eye area looks brilliant. |

bushy. That is interesting. What other products you are trialling and do you think they be part of the results? I also got some ANRSF and like it but I used it with samples of their creams which I didn't like so plan on using it on its own or combining with something else. |

I have tried ANR concentrate before. I feel surprised at its good effect at first. But after several month I feel it is not useful anymore... I want to try the new Anr but I wish I could see more reviews on it. Really hope it is a good product and replacement for the Remergent! |
