Wow - has it been WAY too long since I've checked in with EDS!! And now a skin emergency has brought me back into the fold. Here's the thing: I have this weird clogged pore that looks like a little blackhead, but I've had it for weeks now and no amount of poking or squeezing is making it go away. I know I should just go in for a facial, but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like I need a needle in there or something. Thanks in advance for what I'm sure will be brilliant advice.
Best,
Zazu

have you tried hot water? I have had things like that before and I have gotten so obsessed with getting it out that I make more of a mess then it should be. I would go to a professional or see what happens but do not mess with it anymore!

My mom had one of these for weeks in her eyebrow area. (owie) She finally broke down, took a needle, santized it with alcohol, and opened up the area more. It finally popped out. Problem was the "gunk" was bigger in the middle and didn't have a large enough opening to get out. I would only recommend this as a last resort. Try the hot/warm compress first. hths

Personally I would spot treat it with some AHA/BHA product to soften it up and if I still couldn't pop it out (ok, I'm not recommending squeezing here to others but I'm just being honest as this is what I do Embarassed ) then I'd sanitize a needle and gently help it get an opening through which it can come out. Of course, this is just me and I'm not recommending this at all (apart from the MDF Smile).

I am a firm believer in scrubbing/exfoliating your skin regularly to keep all the whiteheads and blackheads away.
