Hello to everyone,
I am sure this has been already mentioned before,
but I seem to have problem with line appearing in the past 10 days or so under my right eye. I am male, 32 years old, and although I do take care of my skin this is a case.
It is not one of those fine lines, but this is lower from the eye area, some 1,5 cm from the mid eye area, goes down, and it some 4 cm long. Look terrible in particular in the morning, but also stays there for most of the day.
If anyone has suggestion, tip, that would assist in this case, please feel free to share,
Thanks a bunch.

Not sure if this will work, but this is my suggestion buy one the argireline serum products during the day (for expression lines) apply, let sink in, look for one with 15 %, cover with a gaba cream for immediate visible reduction, and start with retin-A at night to build collagen in that area.

See a dermatologist for a prescription of Retin-A or Renova. It's done wonders for my under eye area!!

It sounds like a sleep line to me, from getting creased there while sleeping on your side. I had exactly the same problem. I'm sure you will NOT want to do this but the only way I was able to get rid of it is to sleep with tape under my eyes. I've been doing it for years and have no lines under my eyes. It's either that or learn to sleep on your back. I really doubt any creams will stop it if you continue to crease the area every night.
That's not to say that using retin a at night isn't a good idea. It'll help with collagen production.

Would tazorac work the same as retin a to possibly reduce lines and build collagen?

What kind of tape do you use? I've heard if you sleep on a satin pillow case it can help with crease lines. I'm not sure if that's true though! Smile

Satin pillow case would of some help, and I also suggest you try BABOR HSR eye cream.

Well onetwo, don't worry too much about the line under your eye. All of these eye creams, gimmicks and gadgets won't take the line(s) away. They will only make your line(s) look better. Any emollient cream can do that.

Thanks a million for all the suggestions,
Hmm the tape on face, you are right, not sure I will do that one Smile
Still, have to undertake some measures. After all, it's no time for lines or wrinkles yet Smile
Hugs to all, and will keep you posted of the further development.

I just use plain ol sticky tape. There are others that use the medical paper tape as they say sticky tape sticks too hard and leaves marks. I use retin a before bed, and leave it on for about 20 minutes before using the tape. I find it sticks fine without leaving marks due to the cream.
I've tried satin pillow cases and they did nothing at all to reduce the creases. For me anyway.

Very interesting about the tape - sort of like frownies for under eyes.

I've been using masking tape between the eyes for a month now - helps a little, just wish the results lasted longer. Will give the under-eye-at-night tape a try though it sounds more uncomfortable than tape between brows.

I've used a satin pillowcase for a year now and believe that whole anti-wrinkle thing to be a myth. Sounds good, but when it comes down to it, your face is still pressed down, molded as it were when you sleep and effected by gravity and fluid retention. Alas, I can only sleep on my back for 2-3 hours before getting achy and having to turn on my side.

I agree. I have used a satin pillowcase for a long time. Doesn't stop the lines from forming at all.

Can you put Renova right under the eye area? I am asking, because I just started about 1 month ago and still trying to get my skin used to it. Are you ever able to use it on the upper eyelid?

I've been using Retin A for 6 weeks now and have always used it under my eyes. Upper lids occasionally, since I have had some sensitivity there.

My skin acclimated within 2 weeks and I've use it nightly since. If you are still sensitive after a month, perhaps you could try it buffered under your eyes and see how your skin reacts before applying it 'straight'?

Thanks LLucy I will give that a try. I'm sure my skin is probably adjusted now, but I am still taking it slow and doing it every other night, since it was drying out my nose at first. I also have not been consistant with doing it every other night or every 2 nights, since I was on vacation for two weeks Smile. Have you seen any improvement under your eyes?

My suggestion is:
1. Using Revive eye renewal cream. I saw someone else recommended it as well. Yes, it really works for me when lines appear for the first several days.
2. Using eye masks, before which you may apply a thick layer of eye serum/cream. Since your lines seem to be sleep lines, eye masks will be of great help. I'll suggest Shiseido revital eye mask.
Hope that can help~

Smiling too often would make our lines on that place deeply. But, can we hold and not to smile every day?
Besides, I tried lots of eye creams, but neither of them could help me too release these wrinkles, maybe this is just our destiny, and we could not stop it.

I tried a lot of eye creams but honestly none of them can really help get rid of those lines. I just hope no new wrinkles come out.
