Im considering getting one but Im not sure which brand is the best?

Is ultrasonic similiar to ionic?

I got a facial ultrasonic before. It was really good for assisting skincare absorption but for oil free products only (such as gel/essence). I think it was effective because my skin looked bright and smooth after using. I could see the obvious effect (side effect), one day, I used it with vitamin c serum. I used it in daily skincare routine and it was good for whitening. However, when I used it with ultrasonic, I thought it was too much for me. I got a lot of spots on my face!!!!! Vitamin C serum was too strong for using with ultrasonic, haha.
I bought another one which was claimed 4 in 1 (ionic & ultrasonic) because the previous one was out of order. I tried the ionic cleansing only and the effect is quite good.
The different between ionic and ultrasonics is the type of media (skincare) product when using the machine. For ionic, it should be used the skincare which is ionized, negative ionic product for cleansing and positive ionic product for nourishing (but it is difficult to identifying the ionic types of skincare products). For ultrasonic, it should be oil free product. |

Im not having good results using negative ion cleansing. Ever since I started using it, I've been having clogged pores in places I've never had before. But I didnt know the product has to be ionized. I just used a facial cotton wetted with toner and put it on my face. The ionic cleanser I bought is really cheap so I dont know.
Im interested in getting an ultrasonic massager. But it'll have to wait because Im getting a clarisonic. |

In fact, it should not cause you pore clog if you use the cleansing function. Are you sure the method you using is correct? It is because some machine may have different instruction, they may be positive for cleansing, negative for nourishing. |

That is correct, many of these devices come with two primary functions, that is to cleanse and nourish. If you are using the correct method you should be using the cleansing function to cleanse your face first (thus getting rid of blocked pores) and then using the nourishing to enhance the benefits of your skincare products. |
