I'm sorry I can't always respond to posts, because I'm limited to five a day.
Frodo, the Sweet Leaf whole leaf concentrate is what I'm using. I suspect the concentrate is much better for tightening than any other liquid or powder.
I used the stevia again yesterday and am amazed how the results just keep getting better. I noticed for the first time last night and this morning that my neck is feeling tight. I am taking pictures each day to check my progress. I really do believe the stevia is helping my lip lines, in addition to some other problems, and I'm hoping that this isn't just my imagination.
I'm interested in hearing everyone else's results, too. |

Skippie, are you doing this stevia mask daily? I checked around but I could not find anywhere where it says how often to do this. |

Yes, Rileygirl, I am. Somewhere in my readings about using stevia, I read that you should use it for 30 to 60 minutes a day for 30 days. As long as I steam it off my face afterwards with a wet warm washcloth and don't rub it off, I don't have any irritation. |

I noticed in today's Skinactives newsletter, that their Lip Collagen Serum contains Stevia
extract.
Has anyone tried it? |

This is so cool. I've been using Stevia for my tea for the last year or so. I just love hearing about the benefits of using it with regards to health, and not it is also good applied to SKIN?
I may just try adding some water to my stevia and apply it in a few spots.
Will report back later
The next thing I want to try is adding it to my baking. I wonder which type of recipe it would work in. Do any bakers out there know? |

The Stevia liquid that I have is a completely clear gel that is for adding to drinks - I personally don't like the taste of it in tea and coffee.
Can you apply this type of Stevia liquid to the face? |

Keliu - I didn't like it at first either. It took a while to get use to it. It def has an 'aftertaste'. I like it now, tho. |

Some of those clear liquids contain alcohol, so I'm not sure I would use those on my face. You might look at the label and see what's in it. |

I've used stevia on my face for four nights this week, alternating between mixing powered stevia with warm water, and just using the liquid from the bottle.
The morning after the first use (powder & water mix, left on 15 min.), my skin looked glowy and firm, and the crepey patches looked less obvious. The morning after the second use (liquid straight from the bottle, left on approx. 30 min.), the results were not as noticeable. I mean, my skin felt tighter but didn't look tighter. Third and fourth nights (powder one night, liquid the next, left on approx. 45 minutes), no benefits apparent to the eye. Skin felt tighter each day after third and fourth treatments, but didn't look great. In fact, the crepey areas looked worse and flakey patches appeared.
The brand I used was Sweet Leaf. The liquid contains purified water, stevia leaf extract and grapefruit seed extract, and the powder contains stevia extract and inulin fiber.
Maybe it's just not a good choice for my skin. |

Thanks for the update, pinky. I wonder if you would benefit from just doing it weekly instead of daily? Just a thought. I am planning on trying this next weekend. |

pinky: could it be the grapefruit extract in your liquid stevia? I think the earlier post stated that it is best to use pure stevia concentrate! I am glad to know that powder Stevia can also be used! |

I'm sorry to hear it's not working out for you, Pinky1. I'm using Sweet Leaf, too, but the only other ingredient besides the stevia concentrate is purified water. I was away for the weekend and didn't get to use the stevia for three days. My lip lines which had begun to fade a little reverted back to what they had been. I couldn't wait to get back to using the stevia. |

How interesting! I can only think it is the volatile oils that have an effect. I must read this book... |

Just a note here that in the book I mentioned there is only that tiny little part about Stevia. Just wanted to let you know that so you aren't expecting a ton more info! |

Antonia pinky's doesn't contain EO's (volatile oils) the grapefruit seed extract is a gel like consistency and you add a tiny amount as a preservative it is common in all natural products. I purchase it brand Nutrabiotic to add to DIY recipes that need an all natural preservative. That being said maybe Pinky is sensitive to it. As we all know just because it is a natural compound doesn't mean no one will have an adverse reaction, I wouldn't put poison ivy on myself and it is natural.
Thanks for the info Rileygirl! |

I think it is a good read, particularly if you are interested in what foods can help with different skin issues! |

I am sitting with Stevia mask on right now. I used powdered Stevia Extract that I had in my cupboard. The only other ingredient on the label is: lactose (Milk). I mixed it with some water to form a thin paste.
Will see what happens ! |

FYI - the Stevia Extract from Trader Joe's has 100% Organic Stevia Extract Leaf (Stevia rebaudiana) and nothing else
It comes in a nice spice size container w/ a shaker lid which is great for my teas! |
