I read this on another forum and was wanting to know if the 302 Drops and other products should be applied the following way? |
Hi Amy,
Keep applying them the same way you have been. The lipid based 302 products in particular will absorb better if they're "massaged" in, just because, well, they're lipids (Can still be done gently, of course, but be thorough).
With the non-lipid based products, or anything else, I don't think it will make any difference at all how you apply it. Those instructions are usually based on the old-school theory that any handling of the skin, beyond the most delicate, will harm it or cause sagging. For the past year or so I've been a firm disbeliever in that line of thinking, since discovering facial exercise and massage. My own skin has improved with facial massage, but I haven't really done it consistently or long enough to know what the long term effects would be for me personally. What really convinces me is seeing the skin of *other* people who've done facial exercises and vigorous massage for *years* - they're skin almost unanimously looks much better in their "after" pictures than the "before" pictures. Deb Crowley (founder of Flex Effect) has been doing vigorous massage and exercises for decades and she looks pretty amazing. Louise Annette (Ageless) has been doing them for several years, and ditto - she looks so much different in her "before" shots (from '97 or '98, I believe, but she didn't start doing facial ex's until a few years later). To see her now, she looks 15 years younger. So, other people may have other opinions on the subject, but my conclusion, based on my own current knowledge, is that *how* you apply your skin products is of minimal importance. And, handling the skin, even quite vigorously at times, is not going to harm it.
(sorry, got a bit long winded there.. just thought it might be helpful to know *why* I think most of that advice is completely meaningless ) |

Hey WhiteWolf,
Glad things are settling back down. I think you'll do great with this line if you're observant enough to know when to back off, and as you;ve realized, the mini-vacations do not hinder your 302 progress in any way, and may actually help.
I spent a lot of the first 8 months or so on "mini breaks".... I actually was so inconsistent at times that I'm surprised I saw any progress at all! But, I had very reactive, rashy, rosacea skin, so having a "barely there" routine really worked in my favor, I think. During my more consistent periods I faithfully alternated with the rosacea drops, active recovery drops, 302 drops and sometimes A Boost. Despite the inconsistency (or maybe because of the inconsistency?), I've seen a lot of improvement. I'm sure yours will continue too |

LBS, can you share some of the facial exercises that I could do to help "lift" my facial skin?
I have read some other threads about facial exercises, but did not really see "how" to do those and which ones really worked well.....Other than one that I read about laying on the floor and elevating your head for a few seconds and to keep repeating that...
But I would love to know a few I could use in combo. with the 302 products......Maybe I can get better results |

Do you guys know why it would be better, per say, to use the C Boost instead of the A Boost, for texture and shallow scars? |
Among other things, the C Boost builds dermal protein, which sounds like something you will definitely want for filling in scars. You'll get the vitamin A eventually when you start using the Acne Serum, which is stronger than the A Boost anyway (hence the break-in period, and the less frequent usage) The rest of your routine (the timing, alternating every so many weeks etc) is a different way of approaching things, but Dr H. has also recommended similar regimens.
It all sounds to me like it falls within a normal 302 protocol
ETA - Check out the Ageless program here: http://louiseannette.proboards.com/index.cgi
It's very inexpensive, especially if you get the computer download, it's an easy program that doesn't take much time (5 to 10 minutes per day), and she has an informal video on Photobucket where you can see her doing the exercises (which you get a link to once you buy the program). And, there's a lot of great info right on the forum. |

Think twice ladies when buying any 302 produts. This is the response I got from Richard Huber. Can you say RUDE???!!!!!
So I will be selling the products to the ones that have PM'd me. I'll email you about it tomorrow or over the weekend.

This was my response to Richard...
What a RUDE response from you! I was only going through CS because Nancy (Boski) advised me to as well as Jennifer. I was considering starting over on 302, no way know. It's just too bad that I got the wrong advice on using the products. Richard, I promise you that I will let everyone on the EDS board read your very rude response. And you don't have to worry, I WLL NOT BE CONTACTING YOU OR ANYONE THAT REPRESENTS 302! |

Hi. I'm new to EDS and to 302. I have the c boost and will begin using it shortly. 302 threads certainly have a lively and diverse following.
What can I expect to see within the first month or so of c boost use? The good, the bad, the ugly?
BTW, I have read through the very long 302 thread that gave rise to this one.
Thanks. |

omg that is really rude! So are you going to get a refund from Jennifer then? I think since their products cost so much, they should offer a refund if it doesnt work! Especially since 302 requires strict adherence to using their products only. We had to give up our exisiting products. Please tell us more.
I was interested in trying in 302 but now im wondering the whole thing is a fake? |

Supposedly, most 302 esty's (Jennifer) will refund you the whole amount within 30 days. But it takes more than 30 days to see any results. Some on here say it takes 6 months. I did well the first few weeks and then I had problems. Jennifer is taking back the products that I bought from her, however, since its been over 30 days, I don't think it will be for the full amount. The esty that I went to while in California, has a two week return policy, inwhich she failed to tell me. So I'm now stuck with 302 drops, A-Boost, Calming Mist, Rosacea cleanser, & SS SPF 30.
Good luck!
So if anyone wants any of my gently/hardly used products, just PM me. 302 drops, A-bbost, Calming Mist, Rosacea cleanser, SS SPF 30. I'll sell for 1/2 price. |

Thank LBS, for the info. I will check into the download.
As far as the 302 protocal goes, I was actually recommended that by Jennifer & the dr., as they see it more of a "texture" issue.....of course, I see it as scarring I also thought that was strange, but whatever helps |

I caved in and called Jennifer. I ordered: Rosacea Cleanser, Calming Mist, Rosacea Drops, Body treatment, Face and Body bar. Jennifer was very friendly and she offered to send me a sample of Rocovery Mineral and SPF 15 (for free!)

Hi! I just wanted to give everyone an update on my 302 journey.
Let me get into some of my skin history, I hope you don't mind. In my teenager years I had some breakouts but nothing serious. After reading all the "wonderful" anti-aging benefits of Retin-A, I decided to start using it. I would say I used Retin-A for 6-8 months. Doing some more research I decided that Retin-A wasn't for me so I stopped using it.
My skin took a server turn for the worst. I started breaking out in very painful cystic acne. I also had tiny pimples all over my face. I couldn't figure out why I was having this problem. Then I started doing some research and found people have had the same problem when discontinuing Retin-A.
I tried to clean my face with olive oil soap. I also used clindamycin for my cysts. The Clindamycin would clear up cysts but then they would appear again.
I was really depressed about my skin. I felt really hopeless. I have been following the 302 thread for awhile and decided to get in touch with Jennifer.
Jennifer really took the time to get to know me and my skin history, I believe we talked on the phone for 2 hours!
I've been using the Face and Body Bar along with the acne cleaner for about 1 1/2 and a half. Sometimes I only wash my face with one product once a day. Sometimes I use both. (one in the morning and one at night)There have been days where I haven't didn't wash my face, due to the fact I have chronic health problems and wasn't awake.
AND finally for my progress: I have to say that I'm VERY pleased!! My acne has almost cleared up on side of my face! I haven't had a cyst in about 2 weeks! It gets better everyday! My boyfriend really can't believe my skin has cleared up so well!
I have other products that I ordered which I will introduce soon. I haven't got to call Jennifer because I have been sick. The products I also have are 302 drops, lighting drops, acne mist, acne serum, and acne mist.
One thing I have learned is you can't rush your skin. You have to be patient with your results. I believe by only washing my face has helped a lot!
Oh yeah I also have the eye serum, I'm not sure of the results I have had. I'm going to be adding the lighting drops for my under eye as well. I'm hoping this will help with my dark circles.
I hope this was helpful! Wishing everyone great skin! XOXO |

HI faeriedust,
Wish I knew for sure Sometimes I wonder about it too, but then I decided not to care since the 302 drops seem to work for me better than the acids/retin-A I've used in improving skin functioning, and in getting back my thicker skin which I really missed for quite a few years!! I guess I don't have perfect skin yet, and still have hormonal acne issues to iron out but am happy with the results so far. I've only had to use the drops 2-3 times a week. For me, any more than that I'm in trouble lol. |

SkinCareJunkie, that's really great your skin is better now & clearing up. Thank you for posting! Let me know how the Lightning Drops work on your undereye. I haven't ordered the Eye Serum yet and my sample is nearly all gone.
Oh...
My Dad was visiting and he had hives on his arm, very itchy, so I let him try the Ointment and it helped! Even the itchiness got better. So it really does wonders. |

I cancelled my order after reading "Who is Dr. Huber" thread. It does sound shady when the founder is unable to provide info on where he got his degree. Besides, his reply to sandralee was definitely rude. I don't want to deal with this kind of business. Fortunately I didn't get the invoice until today so I had all night to cool my head to think. |

Hi Ladies,
I've been following this thread for quite a while and a 302 user since March, 2009
I'm not worried about where Dr. Huber earned his degree.Degrees don't always mean knowledge. I only can tell you that 302 products have done amazing things for my skin, and my son. It may not work for everyone, so just move on to another product! I'm wondering where all this negative talk is coming from?
Thanks for reading my post! |

The point is, where he earned his degree perhaps isn't important, but when he can't even answer such a simple question, well, you know what people will think. I agree, degree doesn't always mean knowledge, but when you call yourself a dermatologist while you actually don't have a degree on dermatology, well, that's an integrity issue.

That's a shame, but everyone has a choice. I've been around here for a long time and used a lot of different products. I've have been using 302 exclusively for about 2 months now. My skin's thriving on it..I have aging as well as vestiges of acne (scars) issues. My skin's never looked healthier nor felt more comfortable, neither oily nor dry. My choice is to stay with this line..based on the results I see so far. I don't give a hoot about his pedigree. |

Has anyone even asked him directly? I've been following the hoopla and all I've seen are people coming here and asking on the forum.
Then again, in fairness, I will admit that the days when he or the company would have answered emails or phone calls from consumers have long passed - they just don't have the time or resources to do that anymore (I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did). I imagine it will be a relief for them to not be inundated with phone calls and email requests for personal consults. 302 has never been marketed to consumers and they have never intended to provide information or advertisement to the general public - they only deal with docs and estheticians directly.

In general, I would of course agree, but in this situation it's a moot point since he's never made any such claim. (EDS posters in the original thread have thrown titles around sometimes, because no one really knew and it wasn't a huge concern - we all understood what was meant - but he himself doesn't read the forum and has never referred to himself by anything other than his name.)

If you are talking about Sandralee's post, that was a personal email she received concerning the matter of her returning 302 products.
