has anyone tried any of these weight loss products?
I haven't but have seen them advertised in women's magazines and was wondering what people who have tried them think of them.

I did use Xenadrine EFX many years ago and to be honest they did seem to help as I lost 30lbs in about 6 weeks (I was also working out for an hour everyday and eating like 1200cals a day max so perhaps I would have lost weight without the pills). However I gained a lot of that back and I'm sure they were not at all good for my health. If I were you I would just stick to a healthy diet, exercise and drink lots of green tea! |

thank you for your response
how does green tea help with weight loss?
did the green tea keep you awake? I find it is a bit like caffeine.
also, do you think the tablets might have helped with your cravings?
I try to exercise when I can, and I have some changes coming that I am hoping will allow me to exercise more. But portion control seems to be the stumbling block for me.

also I notice 'slim shots' advertised on women's magzines a lot, but I haven't seen them available in Canada?
they are available in the USA at wallmart, but not here.
has anyone tried them or found them in Canada? |

I think if any of those products really worked, everyone who wanted to be slim would be slim! |

Xenadrine basically makes you burn more calories by increasing your heart rate and blood pressure. Not a good thing in my opinion.
There have been some case reports of stroke and syncope following use of ephedra-free Xenadrine.
I really don't know about slimquick.
In the end, unless we change our eating habits for good and eat healthy and exercise regularly... we won't lose weight and keep it off. So in reality there's nothing that these supplements could do that a healthy diet can't. |
