Do any of you suffer with this?
My mom told me she just got diagnosed with this a little while ago and she's been struggling with a lot of sickness and having a hard time finding what to eat.
If you do have it, any recommendations? Any vitamins or books she should read? ETc...? |

Has she gone on to the Celiac Disease Foundation website?
http://www.celiac.org/
I would think her doctor would recommend vitamins and other supplements she might need to take. Maybe she could see a dietitian. |

No.. but know of some that do...
She should look into cookbooks that are GLUTEN free. Luckily, there are lots of premade items now that are gluten free as well...
Good luck! |

Hi, I am a celiac "victim". In the beginning it almost feels like a death sentence (OK, I might just over-dramatize a bit ) but once you learn all what you need to, it's just becomes a lifestyle.
I was diagnosed 5 years ago and walking past a bakery still makes my mouth water! I won't even mention the pizzerias |

Estelle, I'm certainly not an expert. Can you use the gluten free flour and make a pizza dough? Then load it with all your desires???? |

My husband is a recent Celiac diagnosee, and while it was terrible at first, he's felt *so* much better since going gluten-free that any hassle is definitely worth it. My best recommendation would be to check out some of the gluten-free blogs--lots of great recipes and support. Plus, they all link to each other, so there's a whole treasure trove out there. A few of our favorites:

The book Gluten-Free Baking Classics by Annalise Roberts is really nice too for making the things you start to miss at first... Good luck to your mom. Going gluten-free isn't easy, but I sincerely hope it helps her feel better. |
