My 8yr. old son has had Seborrheic Keratosis on his face since he was 4yrs old. I have attempted using Amlactin cream daily which has 12% lactic acid, but we are not seeing any improvement. He has began scratching and "picking" at these small bumps and asks me "Why are they there?" I just tell him, "because God made you that way!" Right now, that answer seems to suffice. But I know as he gets older he is only going to have more issues and discomfort. (BTW...I have suffered from cystic acne for the last 17 yrs. and have gone through 5 courses of Accutane.) He will probably inherit that wonderful gene from me!!!!
My question is...does anyone else out there have any suggestions regarding products for seborrheic keratosis on the face? I want to use something gentle enough not to irritate his skin, but to help him have a few clears years before puberty and acne sets in!!! |
