Hi, I need help in treating my acne scarring. I'm 18 years old, male w/ moderate scarring around my cheeks. Are the steps I'm doing enough or should I add more?
-dermastamping (basically the same as rolling except using a flat head to stamp downwards on face)
-Retin A at night
-Vitamin A&C Cream on mornings
-1000mg Vitamin C/day
-660/880nm LED light 7 mins per cheek/day
Thanks
Also, will retin a counteract the affects of stamping and the led since it thins the dermis? |

I also have some minor scarring on my face....My scars are slightly pitted, on the cheek area......
I have started using the 302 Products. I can't really say if they are definately going to help, but I am giving them a try, since I have read so many good reviews.
There is a thread specifically for 302 Products, so you may want to check into reading it and see what you think.
Good Luck to you |

Trust me anything short of laser or derma rolling will not get rid of pitted scars...I might stop spots but thats all...
I started derma rolling for stretch marks and and thought i would give it a try on my pitted scars...and winthin a month my mother who thought derma rolling was a scam was in shock and was telling my how my skin looks smoother and how they have filled out. My advice derma roll with some emla so you can do an agressive roll and use vitamins twice a day... |

I have had laser treatments and they did not help, at all.....
I am personally to scared to do the dermarolling, as I am afraid I may make my scars deep or worse...... |

i've been pouring over scarring accounts for about five years and although it does seem like rolling combined with leds, topicals, and supplements is a very good option, i have read of multiple people who have used retin-a with c serum, camellia oil, and a physical exfolliant who got results over a long period (1-3 years).
i have also read so many poor reviews of lasers (which is why i've never tried it). i've personally had dermasanding (slightly different than brasion) and 25% tca peels which help gradually with shallower scarring.
i think you've got a really solid regime- but i can't agree with a particular post that lasers and rolling are the only paths (or levels) to success. i have a roller but have yet to use it because i feel i'm seeing slow improvement with supplements, leds, and light home peels.
i might suggest adding a couple grams daily of msm. |

Look even after you dermaroll your skin will only go red maybe for 2 days and it forces the to release collagen and it fill the marks in... It doesn't scar you...go and look at all the picture from doctors offices who does this. But i don't look at the pictures on the website selling the rollers....You have a first hand account here. |
