EMS device - currently sold through Harrods in the UK - price £300.00 - pads £20.00 replacement.

Has anyone got one?

This was on a previous thread too, where you commented you have a Cleo Q, which is very similar.

I asked what you did to enable you to reuse electrode pads for 2 years? Smile

After use I put a bit little dab of Grace Skincare Range - Facial Conductive Gel - which I get from Ebay in the UK. I then pop the pads on the clear film storage - and put them in the fridge until I need them again. The pads go on and on.

I have used lots of EMS devices and Cleo II and Cleo Q are the best in my humble opinion.

That's interesting, shame I can't try, I sold my Cleo on ebay! I found Tac Gel was *too* adhesive and damaged the electrodes after using a few times, hence the dreaded "prickly" effect.

A more water-based sticky lotion may have done the trick. I did try a so-called adhesive lotion from ebay seller beautyadviceline, but it didn't stick at all, even after wetting it as recommended, so sent it back.

That is a shame - I totally agree the sticky pads are a major issue with the machine - but the signal seems to have a great lifting effect - and it lasts!

I just get so bored with Tua Viso - the body version was just a complete joke!

I will have a look at the new slendertone facial device in Harrods - not sure I will buy as my house is full of kit I never use.

This device looks very interesting - it looks kind of like the Safetox, but for the lower half of the face. However, it's pretty expensive.

Photoqueen, any more information and feedback would be appreciated.

Of course Keliu - still trying to find more info and my trip to Harrods fell through. Will report to the forum with any findings.

An interesting video by the supplier - so bear that in mind when watching it - but it still looks interesting from a new EMS device point of view

I'm not sure whether this is the same company, but they're called Slendertone and they manufacture EMS products for the body for weight loss and cellulite reduction. According to the Federal Court of Australia, these products do not do what they are advertised to do:

Federal Court declares Slendertone Machine will not make users slender nor toned

The Federal Court in Perth has declared that Slendertone Health & Beauty Pty Ltd and Emerald Ocean Distributors Pty Ltd engaged in false and deceptive conduct and made misrepresentations when promoting the Slendertone electronic muscle stimulation products.

But the article that I posted relates to the actual Slendertone company - not to its competitors.

Slendertone is actually http://www.bmr.ie/index.html and http://www.neurotech.co.uk/

I can't see any reference to the Emerald Organisation anywhere else on the web related to Slendertone.

Surely, this court case, as Slendetone is such an internationally known name this information would be across the whole of the web on forums etc.

All I have found is hundreds of reviews by users saying how pleased there are with Slendertone Flex and Abs - I think we need to balance these reviews by actual people against reference which seems to be isolated. Unless you can find our material?

I will call Slendertone in Ireland and ask for a response to the court hearing and decison.

PQ.

I would think that Emerald Ocean Distributors would be the distributors here in Australia.

It does seem very strange that there is only this one court decision in Perth. See what else you can dig up.

I will report back Keliu - although I am off to Brussels today for a few days so will try and talk to Slendertone Friday.

Thanks for finding the article Keliu.

Brussels was good thanks.

Slendertone didn't call me back, I left a few messages to discuss the product etc.

Tuo Viso - uses EMS and stimulates and tones small muscles in the face

Slendertone face - works on the nerves that stimulate all of the face but very gently but it also uses EMS

Over the past 6 wks, my face is coasting down a "slippery slope". I've been using Facemaster, but at my age, I wonder if that's strong enough. Doubt

I'll also eagerly be awaiting your review. I want to know whether it contracts the muscles like the Tua Viso (I mean makes the face contort and twitch) or whether it just emits a current.
