| Has anyone added jojoba beads to their favorite cleanser to make an exfoliating cleanser? Is this ok to do? |

Oranges,
I've made scrubs with jojoba beads. They're very gentle because of the rounded edges of the beads but seem to do a good job anyway. |

I was the cosmetic chemist that worked for the raw material supplier that made the jojoba beads. I know for a FACT that they are excellent to put into scrubs, exfoliants, and body wash products. The Dial Bodywash product with the purple and green beads is just one example of a mass market product that uses them.
Two benefits come to mind immediately. First, they are very spherical in shape. This means they exfoliate without causing micro abrasions to the skin like ground up seeds, shells, and some polyethylene beads can do. All of these types of particles have very sharp, jagged edges and can be too harsh on the skin. The reason you do NOT want micro abrasions on your skin is that is the place where bacteria and microbes love to grow and thrive. Thus your skin becomes very succeptable to irriation, redness, and perhaps even infection.
Second, we were able to prove that a thin layer of jojoba esters is deposited on the skin every time you use the beads as an exfollient. And, having jojoba esters on the skin is very good for optimum skin health.
So go ahead and use them!

| I thought a while back I had seen them on lotioncrafter.com but I looked today and could not find them. Where do you buy them? I love how gentle they are in juice beauty's exfoliating cleanser but how "creamy" it is doesn't feed my "foaming" * spam alert *. I was going to add them to earth science clarifying cleanser. |

| I mixed jojoba spheres small from GoW clearance to Earth Science clarifying cleanser and today it looks like they have all floated to the top. Hmmmmmm. |

| It sounds like you're going to have to shake the cleanser each time you use it, oranges. I've only used the spheres in a body scrub so didn't think about them rising to the top of the cleanser. |

| I'll have to try a different cleanser because since this ones a gel it doesn't shake to well. |
