I've bought some salicylic powder but I'm not sure how to use it. I read some mix information about how to dissolve it.

I have avocado oil and I was thinking about using that but I read that it only dissolves well in alcohol. The thing is I'm trying to make a moisturizing solution and alcohol is too drying.

I'm also planing on using it on my legs to remove ingrown hair and I think an oil based solution would be easier to apply.

What should I do? I need help plaese Sad

Add a teaspoon to a pint of cheap witch hazel and microwave for a minute or 2 to heat up. Shake the concoction and let cool completely. I use this stuff for ingrowns and unclogging pores. The small amount of alcohol is not very drying but you could follow up with a moisturizer.

Thank you ammoniasmith Smile I've never heard of witch hazel before but I'm sure going to order some... next time I place an order.

I went ahead and mix the avocado oil with the salicylic powder and the SA didn't dissolve. I also tried to use glycerin it seemed to work and I added oil after that. Now I have what seems to be glycerin/SA mousse at the botton and oil on top.

But I have to say avocado oil is rich and thick! My skin feels soft. There's always that on the positive side Wink
