I got the access to the full document of the IRA radiation article. It will take a few days to collect all the data and digest the information in the article, but the first thing that must be mentioned is that the volunteers were irradiated with 360 Joules per square cm. Steve from LightStim confirmed with me that no LED devices for LED light therapy on the market are putting out more than 16 joules per square cm.
360 Joules per square cm. My goodness. Can laser put out that much power?
Am I allowed to post a diagram from the full document? |

There were numerous studies referred to in the article posted on the other post and I would guess that in all of those studies they did not use the exact same joules of 360.
The importance of these studies is that it was the IR wavelength that resulted in some damage to the skin....and in all of those studies I bet if you find the complete documenatation for each study you will find that they did not all use 360 joules for their testing. |

I think Joules matters. Just like if you take 5000IU Vitamin A a day, it's good for your health. If you take 10 times that amount per day, it's detrimental to your health. If you take 50 times that amount per day, you will get "poisoned".
I just posted the reply from Steve (President of LightStim)on Anti-Aging LightStim thread, if you are interested. |

I agree with your Vit A analogy but that can only be applied to all of these studies if each and every study, showing that IR caused damage, had all used 360 joules in their testing. Which I am guessing they all did not. |
