My sister is pregnant now and she is very careful with the food and skin care products. Any good recommendations on the skin care that will not do any harm to the baby? |

I would suggest organic products, like Lavera they suppose to be safe for pregnant women.
Here is the link to other organic products:

I would also ask a doctor about products, just to make sure they are safe. |

I personally would avoid most actives... They are absorbed... absolutely NO retin-a, I skipped CP's, and even retinal products... No "aspirin" masks... and I'd probably avoid SA products too.
What are her goals? there's so much out there...
Plenty of nice cleansers that don't have crazy stuff in them... and I'd probably stick with manual exfoliation... and a physcial sunscreen... (so as not to get the lovely brown spots that the combo of hormones and a teeny tiny amount of sun require...)
Moisturize with a number of food grade oils... |

I'm pregnant myself right now. You can't use retinoids (such as Retin A, retinol, or products containing any of those derivatives), salicylic acid/BHAs, or benzoyl peroxide.
On the other hand, you can use some great actives: AHAs--including glycolic or lactic acids, vitamin C serums (and other antioxidant serums), peptides, things like that. And of course, be extra diligent with the sunscreen, because pregnant skin is really susceptible to darkening in patches (melasma).
Mama lotion is an AHA-based cream that is often recommended for pregnant women because it's safe for them. It has mandelic and malic acid in it. |

This is a wonderful site for a Mom to be, with info about everything she could possibly want to know, including a great deal about safe skincare, and which skincare ingredients are harmful when pregnant or nursing.

I'm not sure what products are suitable but I did read somewhere that pregnant women should avoid products with rose oils. Apparently rose oils have some hormonal balancing properties which may affect the pregnancy?
To be on the safe side perhaps your sister might like to just avoid products with rose oils during the pregnancy...
There's this link on natural herb usage during pregnancy which may be helpful:
