I applied Nair to my arm and a few spots around both arms are elevated red bumps. They look like mosquito bites or spider bites that someone had scratched. I have applied polysporin and cicalfate and aloe vera from the plant in rotation. I feel like a big dummy and I don't want scars. I'm gonna see the doctor tomorrow at a walk in clinic but I'm obsessing over this. Eeek. |

Calalily,
Don't freak I think the Dr. will help, I would use the aloe until you get to the clinic. I have a feeling it will take time to heal.

I would take some Benadryl. It sounds like you may have had some kind of allergic reaction. Have you used the NAIR before? |

Thanks guys that did help,
I've been applying polysporin like a mad woman! The new Complete formula which is a gel rather than a cream. Innnteresting huh. I have a lot of faith in polysporin and neosporin from the time I fell down on my face (!) while jogging in Quebec. You can't see one single scar on my face from that (thanks god).
I'll apply some more aloe vera tomorrow morning and keep doing my neosporin under a band aid treatment. My left arm is pretty much back to normal now so hopefully my right will follow right along.
I have learned two lessons from this:
a) Nair is bad stuff
b) Polysporin is so excellent!
I also got a lymphatic drainage massage this morning. So I think that did/will help heal me up a little quicker. |

Calalily,
You are a hoot! Glad you are healing. The only place I ever used Nair was on legs left it on required time and tested a spot, all it did was thin my leg hairs, left it on longer, finally scraped it off and ended up with thin black hair that wouldn't even shave off! That was enough Nair for me.
