Hi there, I'm in a wedding party coming up soon and the girls just wanted a chill night in the evening before (we already did a bachelorette tee hee).
I know they would love to do some fun at-home beauty treatments. Of course the catch is we don't want to have a horrible reaction before the big day...
...so what masks/treatments do you recommend for something like this? Anything that can really help make your face glow the next day with minimal irritation risk (am I asking for too much)? |

Lemon,
Try using stevia as a mask. You need to use the whole-leaf water-based concentrate (you can buy two bottles from Amazon for a little over $20). You leave the mask on for 30 to 60 minutes. It smooths out the skin and gives a glow. Unfortunately, the effects are temporary but my face has looked really good from it the following day. And it doesn't irritate my skin at all - and I have somewhat sensitive skin. |

Hi Skippie,
When you mentioned it's temporary, how long do you refers to? Was it like for a day or only few hours? I would like to give it a try since my big day will be end of the year.

The glow wasn't quite as apparent the next day but I thought it did last through at least the morning hours of the following day - until my face started showing the stress of working, I guess. |

I wonder if the powdered version would work? I am going to a wedding in two weeks, traveling via plane so would rather not take liquids. |

Hermosa,
I have never tried the powder, so I can't provide any feedback on that. If you have some, I'd say give it a try and see what happens. Maybe use yogurt or an oil as the base? |

Hi Skippie,
Thank you for the reply, I bet that's quite long as it lasted for the morning.
Well can't be help as we do smile a lot and kinda stressed out to ensure everything in place during our big day... |

Ohh that sounds so fun! Lush masks are cheap and easy. They are around $10 and you get quite a bit. I especially like the catastrophe cosmetic. Also, you could hire someone to come and do some manis for you and get a group rate! |

Hi, Guys, After reading about Stevia, I bought a box of Truvia packets from Wal-Mart. Last night I dissolved a packet into quite warm water. It was very watery since I used probably too much water to dissolve. Anyway, I felt a mild tightening. Looked pretty good this morning. I'm wondering though, am I using the right product/form? TIA |

Mars,
I read that you can use the powder form of Stevia for a mask, but I've never tried it. I've only used the whole-leaf liquid concentrate. I know others have used the powder, though, so maybe they'll chime in. |
