I just started dr h. products (milk cleanser, cleanser cream, day moisturizer) and it stings/burns my skin. Also it has made it a bit more dry and flaky/itchy. How could this be, its like the most pure skin products I have found (also i using pretty natural stuff before as well) Anyone experience this or other adverse effects? |

I use Dr. H and love it, have never had these problems. Do you have sensitive skin? |

I used some Dr H products (the ones you mentioned plus others) as well as Jurlique ..so it is hard to tell which it was but I found them to be a bit irritating, made my skin red, and a bit drying. I think it is all the alcohol in the products and the essential oils. I forget where but on one of these topics someone mentioned that they were allergic to an ingredient in the milky cleanser and when she stopped that one product she was fine. HTH ps. I really do like the clay mask from Dr H. It works wonders on clogged pores and blackheads. |

I haven't had any problems with irritation and flaking but I did feel like it just clogged my pores instead of cleaning them. I've seen a lot of people have posted rave reviews but the cleansers just don't work for me. |

i have dry and sensitive skin... i had the same adverse reaction to dr. H, eminence, decleor, claudie, etc. the products burn, itch, and make my skin dryer.
i find that the natural and organics line are harsh on my skin. its so sad cuz they smell so nice. |

You could very easily be allergic to some of the ingredients. Although I love the homemade version of Dr H's cleansing cream, I can't use the real thing because it has gluten in it and I'm allergic to wheat and corn and citrus fruits. I used to get dry and itchy and breakouts from a lot of products until I finally went to a naturopath who tested for allergies and sensitivities. I might suggest you start with that route and try to use products with few ingredients. |

Hello llina....I have the same problem as you regarding natural/organic lines. It's probably a sensitivity with the essential oils that are used. I know that with Dr. H. the alcohol in the products are extremely drying for me. The one Dr. H. product that I love and can use is the Rose Day Cream and that is one of the few products in the entire skin care line without alcohol. However, I now tend to stay away from most natural/organic lines. |

I'm oily combination skin, Dr.H products work well on my skin. Maybe your skin are sensitive to some natural ingredients. |
