I've been on maintenance for about a month and a half. The following is my current routine:
Every other morning: Clear, Exfoderm Forte
Every night: Blender and pea-size amount of .05 retin-a
My problem: I continue to have dry, flaky skin under my eyes and right above my lip. It's not as bad as when I first started, but it's still annoying. I can't wear make up under my eyes b/c it just peels off. I believe the irritation is from the retin-a, but I'm not certain. Any suggestions on how to reduce the dryness? Thank you |

Hi Meganm76,
Since you're on maintenance, can't you use an eye cream or a bit of moisturizer around your mouth? My upper lip still peels sometimes too and I just put a little aquaphor on it. I've also used Bio oil under my eyes when they seem too dry.
Other than that, do you feel like you're maintaining your results? Thanks! |

Try to reduce the amount of the products that you are putting around your eye and lip area. Use an eye cream if you aren't, and you can try aquaphor right above your lip at night to see if that will help with the flaking. |

Thank you for the suggestions! Is there an eye cream you recommend, rileygirl?
Kim: My skin is improved, but I don't really think I have dramatic results. Maybe once this flakiness is resolved, I'll have a more positive view. Hope you're continuing to do well! |

meganm76, any eye cream would be fine. I am still on the search for a good eye cream, myself, so I don't have any specific recommendations on that one! |

Hi Meganm76,
How long have you been on maintenance? I'm just starting after about 28 weeks of the full Nuderm regimen! I'll probably have to tweak my routine a bit to find one that works. My main issue is keeping the hyperpigmentation away! I certainly don't want the "rebound effect!" I'm still hoping for some improvement in my skin texture, too.
I'm currently using Juara Sweet Black Tea Eye Creme. I think it's fine, but no miracle worker! |
