Does anyone know of a way or a cream to treat broken capillaries on the face and legs without laser or sclerotherapy? I have tried a horse chestnut cream, and that didn't work. I'd love to hear any suggestions.

I don't think one exists. They are broken blood vessels. But IPL works very well.

Breezy

I have the same problem. I don't think there is much out there for broken caps, at least as a topical anyways. Sad I have recently become interested in carrier oils and came across this information:

Hazelnut Oil

Light, penetrating non-greasy oil that is slightly astringent. It is a suitable addition to formulations intended to be used on acne prone skin. High in essential fatty acids and is soothing and healing to dry, irritated skin. Tones and tightens skin, Smile helps maintain firmness and elasticiy. Very Happy
encourages cell regeneration, stimulates circulation, helps to strengthen capillaries so might be useful against thread veins. It contains vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential fatty acids and even has mild sun-filtering properties.

I know, I know, it sounds too good to be true !! Laughing

I haven't tried it myself so I can't tell you how it is, but if its inexpensive it's worth a try.

Hi Breezy - if you do a search on EDS for thread veins or something similar, some folks have had success with a combination of MSM and silymarin in an aloe gel or something similar. Do a search and see what you can find.

I'm using the LED AAlightstim on a broken vein I've had for years. It might be helping a little but a very slow process - like maybe months. good luck - DiPhx

Thanks, DiPhx, I found the thread, Facial Spider veins/ broken capillaries...

luckylouie said, "What worked for me was massaging the skin, led light machine and a couple of topical actives helped. Firstly orange flower water is known to help reduce redness and so is witch hazel, so I simply mixed together roughly equal amounts of these two, with a little bit of glycerin, and use this twice a day as a toner afer cleasning. Secondly I added msm and milk thistle extract to my moisturiser. Both of these have helped considerably."

LAT, the hazelnut oil sounds promising as well, and I'm hoping my local health food store has it.

IPL did work well for me, but I always get new ones Crying or Very sad Thanks for the suggestions!
