These are not zips and it started slowly...a few here and then more. No white heads appear, just small red bumps. i am able to cover them with make up but once the make up is off I look like a spaghatti dinner. I have not changed a thing in my routine (I ususally never do). A doctor friend of mine gave me hydrocortisone butyrate 0.1% to put on it. It helped and calmed the redness down, but then will flair up again. I have an appoinment to go see my derm in 2 weeks.....but any suggestions what this could be. Just red areas with small bumps...but not white bumps and not coming to a head. Just read around the chin, mouth, and spreading to nose area.

Any suggestions welcomed. I did try putting AHA on it.....that made it much worse!!

I know you said you have not changed anything, but I'll ask anyway (!), have you changed your toothpaste?

Laughing Ok. That was the only thing I could think of, as I was thinking perioral dermatitis.

Maybe new boy friend uses something on his skin that your skin doesn't like? Very Happy Please post back what you find out from your derm!

A beard rash? Or an allergy to one of your b/f's products?

Keep us posted--it does sound much more like an allergic reaction or sensitivity than a breakout of some kind. For what it's worth, I had a similar reaction once to a niacinamide based sunscreen--it looked like measles! I had to give the sunscreen up once I figured it out.
