I read the article and some of it I agreed with but here is the part I didn't:
There's no such thing as a miracle in a bottle. "As you age, your facial bones shrink, you lose fat under the skin, and your skin begins to become loose," says Dr. Fields. "Rubbing on a cream isn't going to address these things." What's more, cosmetic skincare products cannot, by FDA law, include medications, which are the only things that truly change the structure of the skin. What cosmetic creams can do: Temporarily plump up and hydrate your skin. For the best chance at turning back time, see your dermatologist for medications or procedures
Yes their are NO MIRACLES in a bottle but I did find that using a good skin care regimen my face most definately firmed up. A few lines and wrinkles don't bother me but a sagging face does. Granted I don't have a face like a 35 year old but I would say I have firm skin for 60 (in two months).
I also believe facial exercise help although I really am not good at keeping that up. Ruth Marion is a good one to respond to facial exercises.
So ladies there is hope. |

I think those 2 doctors who wrote that are the ones who founded Proactiv.
I don't agree with the foundation theory, MOST women are not going to stop using foundation after 35. |

Yup, they are the makers/distributors of Proactiv.
It is important to take care of your skin over the decades and use what works for you. While I know there is no "miracle" cream, lots of products meet our needs and do help a lot with certain problems. My skin looks so much better when i put effort into it and take care of it. It seems to like the expensive stuff too.....yonka, jurlique, phytomer, Dr.H...
My esthiticians told me that foudation is acutally good for your skin cause it creates a barrier between your skin & the enovironment. These days, I am loving Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture.
Don't believe the hype!!!!! |
