Well im 13 and I've been trying to
make my pores less noticeable since they are
huge and clogged.
I have been told using ice
would make them smaller, but it shocks the
skin leading to ruddy skin.
I never used a pore minimizer gel since most are
expensive and im still too young to buy it
myself xD
Does anyone have any options I can choose from
then I can probably save up my
money for it?
I also have acne, lots of it.
And those horrible acne scars too. |

Ice will not make your pores smaller.
Since you have acne, can you ask your parents to take you to a dermatologist? |

The excessive oiliness of the skin is in turn triggered by the hormonal changes in the body. It happens when the male hormones in the body become overly dominant during puberty. The activity of oil glands which is controlled and regulated by the male hormones increases fervently. The skin in order to cope with the overproduction of oil secretions has to manage its increased elimination. As the traffic of the oil effusion increases, the mouth of the pore enlarges. |

Hi soad,
Good for you for wanting to care for your skin at your age. Since you're still so young, I would not recommend you try anything too harsh. There are a lot of DIY home remedies for acne/congested pores that you could try, just look in the following thread: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=11902
Many people feel that the aspirin mask does wonders (this is really cheap, too!). I regularly mix a manuka honey mask with 2-3 crushed aspirin and some plain yogurt, and find it very effective for fading red acne marks as well as rejuvenating the skin.
You could also mix a little baking soda in water, and soak this solution in a paper mask. Apply to your skin about 15 minutes, and your blackheads will be loosened (I learned this trick from an esty).
You could also mix your own toner from apple cider vinegar and green tea/chamomile tea. Refer to the DIY thread above, and you'll get tons of ideas!
P.S. The best thing you can do for your skin now is to use a sunscreen daily.
Wishing you the best. |

Be gentle on your skin and avoid harsh products. I had teenage acne and know how this feels, good luck |
