About the obagi nuderm, I have few questions.....
I have acne scars and I usually breakout just before my periods and I dont have any hyperpigmentation. But I would like to use obagi for peeling of old skin and to get new and clear skin. Hope it will remove the scars instad of going to drastic blue peel.
1.Is obagi nuderm system can be applied under the eyes?
2. Can males use the system for hyper pigmentation?
3.How long we need to use it initially before going to the maintenance phase?
4. In the booklet or website from obagi shows that clear can not be used around the eye area. Can we use toner, clear,ex forge under the eyes ? I do have fine lines and grooves below the eyes and dark spots on the eye lid. I am wondering about using the retin a and blender on eyelids and under the eyes?
5.How about using the moisturizer while using this nu derm system? Can we use in day or night before applying makeup or alone?
6. Vitamin c serum can it be used before the third step?
7. How long do we have to wait before using each step and is it mandatory?
Thanks alot for your help in this matter.
My lips are dark. Can you guys suggest any thing to improve my lip color. |

Hi Hima
Welcome to the forum.
Below is the link to every single thread regarding Obagi that has been posted on this site.

But just to answer you questions quickly:
1. It does depend on the individual. I used Obagi under my eyes, not every night but a couple of times a week.
2.Males and females can use this system.
3.You use Obagi everyday for between 18-24 weeks. I went to maintenance after 26 weeks as my scarring was pretty heavy.
4.In regards to what can be used under the eyes - it really is an individual thing. I used all of the products under my eyes, but you may be too sensitive for that. Someone else may chime in with more information here.
5.I did not use a moisturizer while using the system. Just the products in the Obagi Kit.
6.Vitamin C Serum - someone more knowledgeable will chime in here I have never used it.
Hope that helps |

Hima,
Just to add a few things: You're really not supposed to use a moisturizer while doing Nuderm. Your skin is supposed to "normalize" itself. You can use Vit C after the toner.
I've used the products under my eyes. At first, any wrinkles under your eyes will look a lot worse, but don't be alarmed. In fact, if you haven't started Nuderm yet, be prepared for redness, irritation, and flakiness. It's not always a pretty sight, but it does get better.
Lifecoach is right. Please read some of the Obagi threads here at EDS. You will learn so much about Obagi and will see what others experienced.
Good Luck, Hima! |

I am using obagi twice daily along with retin a and vit c serum. This is my second week. I am really doing good but only my eye looks really dry and wrinkly, but the facial skin is softened.
I will be out of country for a while ( four months)and wondering if I can check out obagi with my luggage in the airplane ( is it ok to go extreme temperatures) because they wont allow me to carry the liquids.
And how long I have to use obagi for moderate acne scars and no hyper pigmentation.
Each kit lasts how many days or months?
Can I apply obagi to my lips
I have two sunspots on my lips.
This is a great site for all obagi users. |

I went to the Maldives for 2 weeks and I put my Obagi kit in my luggage not my carry case. The Maldives is at hot as it gets so extreme temperatures are okay.
Obagi use is for between 18-24 weeks every day, which gives your skin time to renew (every 6 weeks).
In my circumstances when I was using Obagi every day it lasted about 6-7 weeks.
I use Obagi on my lips, but again it depends what your sensitivity levels are like. |

Really? You tried Obagi on your lips? It does not hurt? Will it make the lips color light? |

It has given my lips a rosey glow.
I mentioned in another thread that at first the corners of my lips were so tight I could not open them without it hurting, but now all the lines on my lips have gone. |

Lifecoach,
Did you use all the Obagi products on your lips or just a select few? Thanks!
